Hirota hopefully has an explanation for such a big miss. He is only 5' 7" and not aware of any past issues making weight. Maybe recently sick or minor injury so couldn't sweat it out?

They may have pumped him full of pedialyte before he walked out there, when they saw how bad he was. Just guessing though. He weighed in an hour after everyone else, there's no way they didn't know he was fucked up.

I want him to be OK, first and foremost. As far as letting him weigh in when he looked half-dead - I'm torn. Maybe they should have just called the fight off when they saw how he looked. Or maybe it's good for the public to see the dark side of the sport, and hopefully pave the way for at least regulating weight cuts, if not doing away with them altogether.
