More Lejeune units are gonna get boot drops soon with more wooks. I'd do whatever I could to get on the west coast (even 29 Palms).

I was with 5/10 when it got chopped for Civil Affairs. We had women drop into the unit. They had them all stay in the barracks for regiment. It was a shit show. I got in trouble for making females cry because I was screaming at them too loudly. They ended up keeping all of the females in the HQ units for the detachments and did not place them with the teams attached to units in the AOs.

That said we had a black chick that was pretty damn awesome. She was harder than some of the dudes in our unit. Watching her pimp hand a Fallujah PD Officer for talking shit to her was a high light of that deployment.

So I take it that they are scared to drop the wooks into Horno?

It looks better if you don't have women breaking their shit climbing up those ridges in CA.

I was thinking more to the fact that Horno is literally a valley full of nothing but the grunts from 1st Marines, like no womenz stay in the barracks. The only women you would see are potentially a civilian at the chow hall or PX there, and maybe a squid at dental during the day.

It's a little different than the Corps' PFT, but there seemed like a big inverse relationship with the swim and pull as part of the Navy's PST. I always reasoned that if you're good with the pull then your lats are going to be tight as fuck and won't allow you as much of a stretch in the water. The pull and run were my two best actually.

This is the thread where we ask questions right? Oh well here we go

Those small coastal and riverine craft like Sea Arks and small riverine crafts etc etc, what larger boats do they come as attachments for? Obviously those ships cannot traverse the oceans. So they have to be delivered or launched from larger boats.

They are deployed from larger vessels to act as scout/screening vessels in coastal waters.

Yeh, but which larger vessels carry them? It cant be the cyclone class ships. Those ships do coastal patrol, but they look way too small to carry any smaller ships other than inflatable craft.

Will smaller ships like the destroyers, or frigates, or cyclone class ships have a decent compliment of inflatable small boats in case they need to go ashore or other ships?

Also what ships carry most of the marines? And does every ship have some marines on board?

So I went to a seminar conducted by a pretty knowledgeable Fellow about the state of policies that have a lot to do with integration and pt / weight standards, the DOD wants uniformity across the board but the Marine Corps is providing pushback because we've structured things with our PT and weight standards that clash with what the DOD wants , I'm glad they we are being difficult, we are a smaller branch and he can't afford to lower the standards because someone in a think tank suggests so.

Women should be forced to do 20 pull ups too since all MOSs are open now.

Trust me bro I'm of that thought process too , but that always get shot down and really it would fucking kill female recruiting. My buddy is in a fairly easy spot to get people to join ( all things considered) in Texas and it's been a bitch to get girls to sign every since he told them that 2017 won't have the flexed arm hang, we aren't exactly getting fitness studs on the female side , those are like fucking Unicorns.

I saw this vid about Navy expeditionary combat command, and some of the training they do. So they train sailors in some ground combat. What is the purpose of that? Are there any navy missions besides special operations that require regular sailors to come ashore armed, cocked, locked and ready to rock?

Navy has a very good EOD , that have to be able and prepared for combat on top of their specialized job.

Why does EOD from Navy go ashore? Isnt the shore supposed to be Marine's EOD's responsibility?
