Does everyone still max out (wink, wink) on crunches? I hope that's one tradition that never goes away.
If you don't Max out , you don't have friends . Tried to get 115 legitimately to see how it felt , and it's a pain in the ass for 2 mins , it makes my quads get tight and get up right away to shakeep it off before the run. Crunches are dumb should have just switched them out with Push Ups
I can do 75 in that 1st min the Final 40 become a pain if you stop for longer than 5 seconds , I don't know who comes up with this shit Crunches with out weight or a decline is such a useless exercise
Dudes that could do 20 easy ran like a 21 it seemed and dudes that could run sub 18 did like teens on pullups
Thats the fastest I've ever gotten 21:35 , and I actually did a running plan before that , never had an issue with the pull ups even after surgery on my left shoulder, I'm just not a great runner . I am always impressed by the dudes that get 300 legitimately , and the ones I know personally aren't string beans either .
The army has a new combat fitness test I'm intrigued by the deadlift and short speed drills , things I like a lot , wish the Marine Corps did dead lifts instead of a stupid ammo cans lifts http://www.stripes.com/news/after-delays-army-ready-to-roll-out-combat-arms-fitness-test-1.445580
Merry Christmas Active/guard/reserves/veterans!!! Even you Air Force fucks! Godspeed. Go forth and kick ass and take names.
One is supposed to be a machine gunner and another one a mortarman too. I'm sure that will go over well.
It depends if they stick them in a weapons platoon with the medium stuff or Weapons Company with the heavy stuff. I'm not sure if they still do 25 milers in the fleet but they sure as hell go a lot longer than the 12.5 (or whatever 20 km is) at SOI and carry a lot more.
There's a guy on Reddit with 1/8 (the unit these wooks checked into today) and he said they've been briefed that walking around the barracks now without wearing a shirt or singing certain cadences during pt could get them an NJP.
