If he took something someone gave him thinking it would help him hydrate and it was tainted then he is NOT innocent. He willingly took a banned substance. Who cares what it was in or what he thought it would do. Ignorance is not a defense. If you've been stripped and suspended multiple times and you still decide that taking some unknown mystery substance after the weigh-in is a good idea you should be punished harshly. You are responsible for what you put in your body. Period.

He is an idiot trainer. Any accounting firm for a few thousand dollars could devise a plan for him if he wanted to be legit but he doesn't. He wants his fighters to cheat but not be caught.

The trainer insists that all of his fighters only obtain supplements directly from the trainer. The trainer buys a massive supply of supplements and has them extensively random sampled tested. Each time the fighter takes a supplement he puts the exact match in a labeled sealed bag and returns the bag to the trainer. If a fighter ever fails for a tainted supplement the bags will be able to prove which supplement and when.

Eventually the bagged samples will be able to be used and will have a high degree of confidence that they are clean.

Considering his fighter's love of dick pills maybe his nickname should be wrinklejohnson.
