As a completely objective Platinum fan I'd probably have to give Colby the edge if they were to fight right now. But I think Colby's strategy would be to go for the take-down early and often. If he chose to stand, then Perry would certainly have a good shot of KO'ing him.

To answer the question in the OP though his approach would definitely be trying to take Perry down. Platinum would stand a much better chance though than Toney vs. Couture, as he has shown the ability to defend some take-downs as well as get back to his feet when taken down.
