Michael Hunter vs Oleksander Usyk

Every generation, there comes along this fighter that just takes your breath away. Lomachenko is that fighter. I watch his fights and I'm just mesmerized by this beautiful talent.
Agreed. If loma can get the fights he wants (and these chicken shit champs at 130) face him, plus 135... possible ATG candidate for sure.

Loma is such a pleasure to watch in the ring. Foot movement is absolutely unique. I love it when he speed bags guys then tears into them with hard shots. His ability to pull boxers gloves down and tag them is amazing. I don't know why His guy gets any hate tbh. Skills through the roof, good personality, and wants to fight the best with every fight. Always surprises me that people hate guys like this. To me it's impossible not to like guys like theses.

Not anymore imo. If salido were to rematch loma, loma would escort his garbage ass out the ring before 8 rounds.

Salido needed 10lbs + weight advantage plus enough low blows to make a porno blow job special look tame to win a close fight.

It should be a good fight, but I doubt Garcia will land anymore shots per round then what Sosa did tonight.

Garcia is drastically better than Sosa at everything on top of being a fair bit bigger. Lomachenko probably deserves to be a slight favourite, but Garcia is a far bigger challenge than anyone Lomachenko has fought so far.

Who is he getting hate from?

Anyway, Gvozdyk vs. Kovalev/Ward/Bertbiev/Barrera could be pretty interesting.

I'm so old. I fell asleep in the 7th of the Loma fight, I think it was. Lucky to make that. Just watched the DVR and Sosa was game as fuck, but TOTALLY outclassed.
Man, Vasyl Lomachenko is such a damn technician. All that ammy experience combined with good speed and athleticism and he looks good.
I will say I see a couple posts above and now they're talking after the fight on this broadcast like Crawford and Garcia and I really think both of those are a ladder step up from Sosa, right? Like several levels above Sosa. I vote we see both in the next year, though. Have at it!

They're both quite a bit bigger and far better than Sosa. I don't think we'll ever see Lomachenko fight Crawford (Crawford is going to be a WW soon and Lomachenko said he doesn't want to go past JWW). Lomachenko/Garcia makes a ton of sense for both men and should be a great fight if promotional fuckery doesn't get in the way.

I will say that Sosa does deserve credit for showing up and trying to win for all 12 rounds, especially in light of the performance Walters put in last time out.

Forgot to mention that Usyk isn't with James Ali Bashir anymore after his last fight. The media reported that he fired him and went back to Anatoly Lomachenko, who coached him to his gold medal as an amateur at the 2012 Olympics. That's not correct either. It turns out that Usyk's new trainer is actually Russ Anber (Rival gear owner), David Lemieux's former trainer before he was fired after the Rubio fight. Usyk complained that his hands hurt during his last fight but Anber is the one that wrapped them, strangely enough. We'll have to see how he looks under Anber now over the course of his next 2-3 fights.
Anber is the Ex-trainer of Otis Grant.

Well his "garbage ass" has had even more wars since then. Lomachenko has avoided escorting Salido's "garbage ass" since he lost to him.

Salido needed 10lbs + weight advantage plus enough low blows to make a porno blow job special look tame to win a close fight.
He still lost and still fights the same way. He still has no inside game and you're not beating Salido with no inside skills.

It should be a good fight, but I doubt Garcia will land anymore shots per round then what Sosa did tonight.
Lomachenko is cherry picking easy title fights. You guys will see the real deal when he fights someone with skill. If you think Garcia isn't a tougher fight for Lomachenko than Sosa, then your fanboy colors are showing.

@Seano do you finally admit these exotic whites are taking over boxing
Meh. They're decent, but taking over? Usyk looked like hot trash last night. I liked what I saw from Gvodzyk more than what I saw from Lomachenko.

Lomachenko IMO is classic top rank promotion. Throwing out all these great names they'll fight then getting opponents like Sosa while claiming he was the only opponent who wasn't terrified .

Salido backed out of the rematch Seano not the other way around. They even offered Salido the amount he was asking for which most people thought was too much and then Salido turns around and claims no one wants to see him rematch Lomachenko because Lomachenko would just run from him. So he left negotiations waiting for a Vargas match instead. Vargas then went and lost anyway. Not Lomachenkos fault if Salido doesn't want to fight him. Salido is the guy running from a rematch.

Whoa man take it easy. I didn't say I think the Garcia fight will be easy, I just don't expect Garcia's connect percentage to Be that high.

I get that Sosa is no world beater, but he was no slouch either. Sosa did try to make a fight out of it in the first 3 rounds, but by the 4th round the fight was effectively over for him, because of lomo's skill.

I don't think it's fair to say that lomo is looking for easy fights. He can only fight those that agree to fight him. He's calling out all the right names man, but no one is nutting up accepting the challenge. It's not lomo's fault no one is willing to dance. It's that pretty sad when it's basically champs who are ducking tail and running away from him. Hence why he is moving up in weight classes so quickly.

Heck yeah I'm a fan of his, fuck who cares. I love watching skill go down in the sweet science ring. It's a reason why I was a Floyd fan even though I hated his outside the ring persona, I respect him immensely as a boxer.

But in fairness yeah, I think lomo has definitely stepped up his game since the salido fight and would be able to better handle / adapt to an inside fighter.

Respect man it's not like I'm insulting you, it's okay to have differing opinions. Good day to you man.

Oh heck yeah. After what he did last night. I feel that fights against Kovalev and Bertbiev would be all out amazing fights.

I don't know if he's ready for ward unfortunately. Ward's a slick dirty fighter man. Takes allot of time to prep for.

Gvozdyk was impressive. He looked like Gumby next to the Cuban. But the way he put his punches together.

Lomachenko looked great as usual.

I've no doubt Lomachencko will take a fight with Garcia.

Funny how some people on here who talk him down now saying he's taking easy title fights were the same ones a couple of years back saying he hasn't deserved the shots he was getting early on. You'd say to him "but by strength of his amateur pedigree he's getting the opportunities"... and he'd respond essentially saying that that doesn't cut it in the pros. But now he's bemoaning the title fights saying that he's cherry picking.

Won't happen at all. Garcia will outgrow 135 before long.

Eh, I think he had plenty of power. He just doesn't put as much power as he could into shotd, to maximize his speed and footwork.

He throws his shots like a whip, and you could clearly see in Sosa's facoal expressions and body language that they hurt.

It took Usyk a bit...but he eventually turned it on and against a very good fighter too. in the 2nd half of the fight he was putting his combinations together very well.

I agree with you. Like I said to another poster, I definitely don't think or would expect lomo to walk through him. I think this fight has all the making for it to be a fight of the year contender.

We will most definitely see what lomo is made of in this fight for sure. I see the greatest disparity in this fight being the size and power Mikey. Sure lomo will likely bulk up appropriately but lomo doesn't have knockout power. Lomo is KO via frustration, attrition and angles fighter which does not bid well for him against Garcia imo. Personally I think this is dangerous for Lomo, but this why I love him. Dude so fucking cocksure that he'll take it.....now if only Canelo had 1/4 the balls this guy did. Doesn't help that Oscar is constantly nudering his ass.

Anyways I digress. Don't want to get to off topic in this thread.

No, No, No!!!
You're not to find any enjoyment in an exciting figher. You can only mine for the worst in him!!!
it's not a sport meant to be enjoyed.... it's a thesis meant to be scrutinized and chopped to bits.

After seeing Loma in his last few fights I woulf pick him over Garica. Garica is a beast and one of the best counter punchers in the game but he is a boxer and I dont see anyone outboxing Loma right now. Loma will figure out Garica before Garica figures out Loma. Only way Mikey wins is IF he hurts Loma with all of his power shots and touches and I dont think that will happen. Loma's footwork will make Mikey look slows and have him chasing in that fight. Mikey would really have stay on the outside and counter the body until Loma slows down in th second half and than try to bully him.

I think it is gonna take another fightet like Solido to beat Loma, someone who isnt a boxer and more of a brawler and take Loma out of his boxing game and get him to react and not think. No one is gonna out think, so best bet is to get someone like Provo or a prime 135 Rios to bet him by bully him and taking him out of his boxing game.

Lomachenko would have stopped Sosa with body shots in the next couple of rounds. He has enough power. Sosa was almost doubling over from the shots.
