I’m in. If you are in the market for Velcro, the TMs are the way to go. Very grippy provide great wrist support and very durable.

    Hey Bro,

    All of them offer H&L

Cleto Reyes, Campeón, Classics and Profesional Gil could be classified as a punchers gloves

    TM, Boxeo are more protective.

    Here is the Raffle

Ticket price 17.50 (plus paypal fee) = 18.55 usd
    Only 10 raffle tickets available
The raffle will take place once all the tickets have been sale (according with the Mexican Lottery)

Prize: 1 piece of gear (any color, any size) of the brands I trade. could be: gloves, headguards, facebars, groin guards.
Brands: Boxeo, Campeón, Classics, Cletro Reyes, Profesional Gil and TM.

Shipping cost will be payed separately, if the price of the piece of gear picked by the winner is less than 175 usd, the difference will be used to pay the shipping, by example.

You win and you pick a pair of 14 oz TM gloves (price is 135 usd), you live in Australia so shipping cost is 72 usd.

    135+72= 207 usd
In order to know how much you will pay for the shipping 207 -175 = 32 usd
then you just need to pay 32 usd

Please send the payments to my paypal account jtorresz99mx@gmail.com stating the ticket
    number you want.

Do you think making a separate thread in the g&e section for the lottery would be a good idea? Might get more traffic that way.

    Hi Mexican boxing gear connaisseurs!

I have received a pair of professional Gil boxing gloves in 14 oz (17 on the scales) a few days ago. They offer great wrist support, great stitching, and nice and compact profile. If this is what a boxy glove looks like, I seem to really like a boxy glove design.

I own a couple of pairs of Sabas too, and as such have become accustomed to the feeling of a soft lining, and pliable leather from the get go.

These gloves however, do not have a lined hand compartment (it stops at the wrist) and the leather and fabric of the hand compartment is wreaking havoc on my lower knuckles and fingertips. This hurts like a ... when I hit the heavy bag and reminds me of the sore fingers I used to get when I first learned how to play the guitar.

Am I an anomaly with prissy fingers, or is this normal for mexican gloves and will this sort itself out.

I thought Mexican gloves were supposed to be comfortable?

Hi, I had similar fingers issue with my Classics gloves. However from what I hear now, they are much improved but the gloves that I use now are the Casanova. I never had any hand/finger issues and plus they are pretty comfortable.

Who told you Mexican gloves were comfortable? You have been deceived...

The callous on the finger tips (reminiscent of your guitar-learning days of yonder) is normal with some Mexican gloves. I experienced the same thing, at least. Not with Reyes, but with Sabas Prime gloves and with the New Sporting gloves (purportedly a Grant factory—who knows, though).

Really, though, you'll get used to it.

I’ve seen one YouTube video of someone using new sporting gloves, but where is a link or website to order from?

You can probably look up "New Sporting" on Facebook or Instagram. Someone on the site has purchased from them directly, others have purchased through various middle men. You will have to have elementary Spanish speaking ability or Google translate since, as far as I know, Daniel Hernandez doesn't speak English.

"Zeus Deportes" (search the forums) is made by New Sporting. Would not recommend purchasing Zeus, though, given the unreliability of Scarphe/Dorian who sells them. Several of us are still waiting (after a year) for our gear/promised refund.

Ah gotcha, thanks for the heads up. I just checked out their Instagram and they definitely look like grants, down to the leather, stitching, foam/ padding placement, etc.. after calculating the Mexican peso to usd exchange rate they’re like $60-$100 which is crazy good pricing considering how much grant charges. I contacted them so hopefully I get a response. You said the gentleman’s name that sells them is Daniel Hernandez?

I've been a member of Sherdog for many years now and over this time have supplied many of you with Mexican brands that you may not have otherwise known about.
Yes I have made some money through this, but it was a service and one that many members were very happy with. I have since decided to branch out and try to create my own brand - Boxeo TM. Unfortunately I cannot make gloves, but I found someone who was willing to work with me and use my logo.
There are numerous subtle changes that I asked for in my gloves that set them aside from New Sporting's own. Unfortunately I am still viewed as a 'middle man' which I think is very unfair given my history on Sherdog and as such the manufacturer of my gloves has been named and contacted directly meaning that, if I wish to continue with my own brand, I will more than likely have to look for a change in manufacturer. I have no problem with this as it is out of my control but I feel like I have been outed in some way and should be made to feel bad yet it was me who introduced most of you to 'hecho en Mexico' that wasn't just Cleto Reyes.
