"The white nationalists who descended on the small, liberal city of Charlottesville were a motley crew of militia, racists, and neo-Nazis, and some who said they simply wanted to defend their Southern history.

They gathered early in the morning at Emancipation Park where the statue of General Lee sits, some dressed in full tactical gear and openly carrying rifles. Others wore black shirts, helmets, and boots.

In a column they surged into the park, using sticks and their fists to shove aside anti-fascist counter-protesters. Then they blocked off the entrance with shields.

Inside, David Duke, the former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, grinned and waved as the crowd, almost entirely white and male, cheered him on, chanting his name and putting their arms up in Nazi salutes"

Yeah, all you alt-right Trumpers posting here, sympathize with these cave dwellers. It was the counter protestors that caused all the trouble, right?

There would have been no violence if hategroups like Antifa and BLM did not show up. What made matters worse is that the police were told to stand down while Antifa and BLM destroyed property and assaulted people.

Who is sympathizing with the alt-right demonstrators? The vast majority of posters in this thread do not support white nationalism. The main issue being discussed in this thread is the double standard regarding the free pass violent leftist groups like BLM and Antifa get from the media while peaceful alt-right demonstrators are immediately aggressively condemned.

I do not see alt-right groups infiltrating leftist demonstrations with the intention of shutting them down through violence and intimidation. It is leftists who are using violence and intimidation to bully opposing views into silence. It is a terrible precedent to set for a society where people use violence and intimidation to silence each other.

The alt-right Trumpers posting here would have been there too if they weren't insufferable pussies.

I think that's because more people have sympathy for equality over supremacy.

Thousands of Americans died to fight the ideas these groups are trying to spread and a lot of folks aren't too happy to seem them brazenly espousing them in the streets.

Instagram is now littered with irrational knee jerk reactions to the atrocities of that gay parade.

As an example, we have this guy calling both liberals and conservatives all white supremacists. Just going in balls deep...

1000 posts. We may make the v2 for this thread and the car thread combined. Someone make a new thread and we will go from there.
