The problem is, if you go this route (Charlottesville/Unite the Right), you are ultimately justifying the left's identity politics by creating your own identity politics.

I understand your criticism very well and I dislike these groups too.
The problem is that the left absolutely hates everything which is conservative and they attack you for that.
Just look at the recent purges on conservatives in the social media or violent left riots.

The identity of many normal and conservative people is attacked, because being against left policy doesn't mean you have a different opinion - No, it means you are a bad human being, bigot, a racist and piece of shit. They despite you anyway!

It's like you are already labeled as a racist and if you are not careful enough, you can even lose your job and with it your place in society. Everything would be fine, if they wouldn't start to attack your existence (free speech, your religion, your job etc.)!

I was really talking about the worst case scenario and personally I have a high inhibition level. I am not easy to radicalize, but I don't want to exclude this possibility in future. Every human being has a red line.

2. The torchlight rally was meant to be done on purpose. It looks just like a scene from Germany, 1930s.

I generally agree. The thing nowadays is that whatever group you choose to associate with becomes defined by their worst parts. Maybe it's always been like that I don't know but what I hope is that instead of people continually swinging back and forth with pendulum to the extremes, more people move to the middle and say fuck all the political differences we just want rationality and stability and we can work the rest out later.
