McGregor's brand is worth more than the paycheck

You think Mayweather would last one round with Conor in an MMA fight?
True, but if Conor made it that long with Floyd has something to do with Floyd being retired, smaller and 40 years old, Conor wouldnt last a round against a boxer his same size and in prime years, even one not that young like GGG would take Conor inside the 1st round.

Diaz was easily the hardest matchup for Conor...and after Conor trained specifically for Diaz, he won.

Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Neither Diaz can wrestle, therefore neither are 'the hardest matchup' ... not even close.

its almost like Floyd could have fought MMA without fighting under the UFC banner and not had to deal with reebok sponsors

are you fucking 8 years old or just retarded?
Because the ufc would of allowed that.

My God how fucking dumb are you cunts.

How about we don't look past the fact Conor called him out of retirement to fight him in BOXING.

you are probably one of those low IQs that thought Conor was going to actually win hahahahahhahahahahahha.

Pretty sure he's not 8, so let's go with option B.

Just lol @ Conor taking risky fights. He only takes fights with high rewards/low risks.

RDA was a free title shot in another division. If he would lose he would still be FW champ.

Mendes was for the interim title. vs a handpicked midget with no training camp.

Diaz instant rematch was an instant opportunity to redeem himself after the first loss. Try a better fight strategy (conserve energy, spam leg kicks) after he found out that he couldn't just knock out Diaz early. He insisted on fighting at 170 again even though Diaz said he wanted to fight at 155 the 2nd time round, just so he could say that he fought the bigger man 2 weight classes above him if he lost. He would still be FW champ. He could still get a free title shot at 155 since he had no losses there.

The Mayweather fight was just a huge payday with zero risk. Nobody thought he could win that fight. Not even Conor himself. After the loss he was as happy as a kid on Christmas eve. Bouncing around and smiling.

No, a risky fight would be to defend his UFC title vs a legit contenter who could take that belt from him. It's looking less and less likely that we will EVER see such a fight.
Mendes was not a risky fight? He could have fought any fighter on the roster but chose the hardest, even when he had a ts on lockdown.

Diaz was not a risky fight, conceding tof ight at WW, when he just fought at FW, and also when he had another fight with RDA just a few weeks later?

Whenever you are that big and perceived invincible, so much hype lying in the balance, a loss can be devastating. Heck, even fighting Siver in Boston, when he had a TS locked down, was a ballsy move in this business. Mind you, Korean Zombie was on a 3 fight streak and got his shot, while Conor was on a 14 fight/6 UFC fight streak when he got the title; and, he did much of this while is knee was still jacked and probably still is jacked to this day (hence no more running and treadmill/bike cardio).

One can shit on Conor for his antic, his lack of bottom game, the fact he got preferential treatment, but they can't call the guy a pussy that ducked on his way up.
