Let's not pretend Conor has the same flaws that Barboza does. Barboza does not fight well off the back foot, he likes space to kick and prefers to fight in the center. Virtually every guy who beat him did so by crowding him with forward pressure.

Conor on the other hand does not mind if you want to come to him, he loves to counter. Not saying he would beat Lee, I'd favor Lee, but he would have a much better chance than Barboza.

I will add that I think Barboza does seem to have better traditional TDD within wrestling exchanges and along the fence than Conor but Conor is better at capitalizing on sloppy entrances and controlling his distance. So if Lee can consistently get his hands on Conor, Conor's in trouble but getting your hands on him is a big if.

Lee couldn't even make non championship weight this time, and almost failed to make weight last time due to the stress of title fight giving him staph. The UFC wouldn't put him against Khabib in a title fight unless if it's a short notice replacement, and Kevin Lee sure as hell ain't making weight on short notice, so that's a completely moot point.

what has Conor ever done to prove he could keep the fight standing and not get finished on the ground. Nate finished Conor like 30 seconds after the fight hit the ground and Lee is much better then a short notice 145 pound Chad Mendez.

Kevin is big, strong and explosive. I think he gives Conor problems. His shot is very quick and his striking is solid enough. When comparing him, and say, Eddie, in terms of size, Lee is more on the WW side of the LW division where as Eddie is more on the FW side.

A Barboza wheel kick shouldn't disillusion people. That strike hurts anybody in any division.
