Conor is exactly the type of fighter Barboza wants to fight.

Fights at range, doesn't bull rush in or pressure with grappling/clinching, and has a wide stance so he can chop his legs down. Unless Conor fights like a completely different fighter, Barboza wins pretty handily. He's better everywhere Conor likes to fight.

I know where you're coming from but.... Dariush was winning that fight (against Barboza) very clearly until he got flying kneed by Barboza. And Dariush is not McGregor

McGregor fights nothing like Dariush, though, and he was winning that fight as clearly as McGregor was winning the early rounds in the Mayweather fight - there's a .GIF that shows Barboza timing out every single time Dariush level changed leading up to the knee.

Dariush winning early doesn't mean he was going to continue to do so - it's likely he wasn't going to be able to maintain that pace while taking the punishment Barboza was returning fire with despite landing less overall. He was breathing heavy near the end of round one and Barboza is a slow starter when guys rush him anyway. Conor would maintain distance.

Exactly, Conor doesn´t have the same tools.... Dariush has the grappling/submission threat and pressure style to make that dog fight that Barboza hates. The 1st poster MikaIP was right.

His boxing defence Is attrocious.

Fight will never happen as Barboza is too dangerous for Conor, kicks are too heavy and have seen Conor willing to take a strike to give one too often.

He has lost several fights standing to guys half as good as Conor and has been given hell in others like you mention. Somehow Conor is not capable of applying pressure now even though he has done it in some past fights...anything to try to knock Conor down a notch.
