They will fight, and it will be for Conor's minimum wage, 50 million dollars.

He makes more against famous guys.

Fighting the most dangerous guy at 155 for minimum wage..... Doubt it. He will want top dollar. But would be entertaining... Would watch.

Yeah I understood that was the suggestion, but thanks for the gif to clarify

But the dude I responded to made reference to the fact that the reporting website were pro-Conor. So I was more questioning as to what benefit Conor supporters would have for fabricating such a claim. So you're not really answering my question here man.

He claim to defend both titles back then, was stripped like 2 weeks after, he might had claimed to want to defend the LW belt at one point...ended up stripped again.

I'll believe it when its official and they are inside the cage on fight night.

That's not the point I was making. He trained exclusively in boxing because he was preparing to fight Floyd. Now why might he be exclusively training grappling? Just maybe he's planning to fight the guy shertards think he's scared of.

    I believe him.

He wants 20mil to cover all the lawsuits.

Russia is probably the only place where they can make it happen cause of his US legal issues.

I want to watch this so bad...

    WAR :D

Pretty sure those antics were meant to hype a fight with Khabib, he'll take the fight if the money is right.

Come on man don't cop out with a response like that.

And I know no-one will believe me after my nut-hugging essay, but I am actually no huge fan of Conor at all. You can check my post history. I was totally ripping into the guy during for the decisions he made during the Nate saga (I never agreed with the trilogy, I openly criticised Conor for holding up his division to pursue a pointless exhibition purely for the sake of PPV dollar). I understandably praised him for the Alvarez win (what self-respecting MMA fan wouldn't?) and then I went back to totally hating on him during the whole Mayweather mess. For much the same reasons as the Nate saga, but also for his total contempt of the sport of boxing. And to this day I maintain my opinion that the fight was a worked farce with Mayweather playing for time to perpetuate the illusion of a competitive contest. And I hold great resentment towards Conor for all of those things.

HOWEVER... I am a fan of the sport. And I appreciate a great fighter when I see one. And despite Conor's arrogance, the misgivings in his public persona, his poor/selfish career decisions and his recent actions... I feel there is a huge amount of hate directed towards him at the moment from the MMA community. And whether that hate is justified or not, there is no justification for these haters to trivialise his achievements, discredit his performances or criticise his skill. As I said before, no self-respecting MMA fan with half a clue about the sport can deny the fact that Conor is amongst the best martial artists in the world.

I don't love Conor. Nor do I love Jon Jones. Nor did I ever love Mike Tyson. Nor do I think Tiger Woods is a particularly good husband. But I respect the skill these athletes possess and the contributions they've made to their sports.

Will you not believe it when they're walking towards the cage?
