Matt Serra on being inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

A journeyman fighter's dream. A journeyman career, but the upset of all upsets and become a champion, and probably well influenced by that, gets inducted into hall of a fame, which in my opinion, when it comes to UFC or MMA, doesn't mean a lot, AT ALL

Serra was a good fighter, but just never fought very often. He won the title and lost it his next defense to the same person. He was better than most think (Gave BJ Penn a good fight) and beat GSP. But other than his title win, there was nothing crazy about him.

So he got in because he is friends with Dana? Serra is the guy in baseball that had 1 really good season. The season of GSP 1.. After that he was mostly a utility guy off the bench..

Being well known seems to play a large part in HOF induction, more so than career accomplishments

This would be like Jim "The Net Detective" Carey getting into the NHL HOF. I've always been a fan of Matt and he's a true badass but he's getting in here because he's buddies with the Baldfather.
