The greatest guitarist I have ever heard in my life is Chuck Schuldiner of Death and if it wasn't for him I'd have probably given up playing guitar. The first song Scavenger Of Human Sorrow from the final Death album The Sound Of Perseverance released in 1998 is a masterpiece. Many people do not understand how much of a loss the death of Chuck was. He is after all the godfather of Death Metal and in my opinion and that of many others shaped what the genre would end up becoming. Death's debut Scream Bloody Gore from 1987 is the first proper Death Metal album and also Chuck took the band in a more progressive direction in subsequent albums while everyone else was playing catch up.
Was a giant Dylan fan in my youth. Discovered the Astral Weeks album much later on.... I’m glad you picked two songs from it as the whole thing is perfection.
Achilles Last Stand and Over the Hills and Far Away are my go to Zep songs. With Achilles, it's like Pink Floyd, put on the noise blocking headphones, close your eyes, have a drink and chill out.
