I have always said this but Marvelous would knock out GGG at his best in his prime whatever you want within 6 rounds. Marvin Hagler was better than GGG in every facet/aspect of boxing and was clearly a better athlete with todays training methods and diet i think he would claim all of todays mw belts and possibly above within the year, Marvin is absolutely the greatest Mw ever and was small for the weight class and its not even debatable.

If anyone ever said GGG > Hagler then they were either BS'ing you or they're delusional. Golovkin did meet Hagler recently.

Both will be remmembered as pussies that never moved up and occasionally challenged welterweights. Atleast G's excuse is that he started out a late age.

He's arguably the best MW but there's some room for debate. GGG has had one big fight and didn't look so great. Comparing him to Hagler is very premature.

Hagler is also the guy who made his fame beating a welterweight (after the said welterweight broke his hand carving his face), nearly losing to a former lightweight way past his prime and then finally losing to a one eyed retiree welterweight.

Oh yeah, he also cried like a lil bitch every time he lost and is famous from rage quitting when massively triggered by said welterweight.

On his own, he never ever challenged himself in a heavier division even after cleaning his own. Unlike his more famous compatriots and opponents.

See how easy it is to bring ppl down ?

You know, overall I agree but there were guys who beat Hagler who I think wouldn't beat Golovkin. Hagler had some holes in his game that weren't always apparent because of how good he was at imposing his style.

exactly. William Monroe Sr wouldnt have beaten GGG. Hell is kinda hard to believe that the Ray Leonard we saw beat Hagler, would beat GGG tbh.

Obviously Ray is the greater fighter. But that Ray, at that point? I dont think so.

I also have a hard time imagining an old Duran taking Golovkin the distance in a fight that was close on the cards.
