Damn forgot he 'unretired'
Will never forget when Browne made him squeal
Interview from today.
He said that he is a free agent now and when a good offer comes along he would consider it.
But he won't fight for KSW again.
He also made a hint that UFC had contacted him for UFC Gdansk.
So is their a chance we see him in ufc? Him vs saki is the fight to make if so
And i guess ksw is pissed with him?
As I understand not, he just said that : "I won't say that we (he and UFC) didn't talked".
I think he asks for to much money, that even KSW is not willing to pay.
Lol he is looking for 500k or more then. He ia too old and not a big enough name. Sounds like he is retired to me
face to face live
They needed mic volume raised or something
yes, this better:
I wonder if they decided to do a show in Dublin because there's a large Polish minority over there. It would make sense for them to do shows in Germany as well if they are trying to become a Pan-European organization.
Same reason they did with uk. Big polish community down there
I'd have to think McSweeney will win this, he just has to not get ko'd by a retarded punch.
Do you work for KSW?
KSW is capable of becoming the Face of European MMA, all they need to do is to have monthly events.
The Circus of Pain and Colosseum are highly entertaining, reminds of PRIDE.
Former champ Maciej Jewtuszko (12-3, 7 KO, 5 Sub) will make his first appearance since his victory over Krzysztof Kulak in March last year. Jewtuszko made his promotional debut at KSW 17 in 2011 after a stint in the WEC and UFC. Over the years he became a fan favourite due to his exciting stoppage victories over the likes of Anthony Njokuani, Dean Amasinger, and Artur Sowinski. With seven knockouts and five submission wins under his belt, “Irokez” boast a 100% finish ratio in twelve pro victories.
Never really been sold on pudz. But this definitely feels like a gimme fight for him. Picking him by an early knock out.
I like ksw but this is a crap fight
More like a gimmie for mcsweeney.
Dublin’s own Chris Fields (11-7-1) has today been officially added to the KSW 40 card at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on October 22nd.
Fields was amongst the first wave of Irish fighters to make a splash internationally in the MMA world. After rising through the ranks and being involved in some of the most anticipated match-ups on the Irish scene, Fields won the Cage Warriors middleweight title in Amman, Jordan in 2012. Following on from this Fields remained one of the biggest names in Irish MMA and was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter Season 19.
Now in the light heavyweight division, the 34-year-old is looking forward to competing on the first KSW event in Ireland and he is looking to showcase his skills and entertaining all the KSW fans around the world.
"I’m delighted to be fighting on KSW’s inaugural show in Dublin" said Fields. "I’m looking forward to putting on a show for all the Irish and Polish fans and the Polish/Irish that have made Ireland their home. Expect fireworks!".
Fields’ opponent will be confirmed in the coming days. Headlining KSW 40 will be an explosive heavyweight match-up between five-time world’s strongest man Mariusz Pudzianowski and the hard-hitting James McSweeney and the co-main event will be anticipated rematch between Mateusz Gamrot and Norman Parke for the lightweight title.
You must be related to the guy. McSwreny is terrible and fold like a cheap lawn chair at any sign of danger.
I wouldn't say any sign of danger. He's no Jonathon goulet. But he has beat way better fighters than pudz Will ever be. And why do i have to be related to him? Maybe you should watch his fights. Because if you call this terrible, then something is wrong with you.
