Honestly it looks like unexpected fun to me but then I am a crazy adrenaline junkie.
 
Watching that video surprised only 10 injured.
 
I'd say in the us you'd have a hell of a class action lawsuit but in Georgia who the hell knows?

yeah there was one group that got flung across 15 feet but that was about the worst of it, and the two old guys stuck on the bottom of the heap.

You certainly can die at 20 mph. I'm trying to think of ways it could go faster in reverse. Maybe it uses a planetary gear set that locked up. There should be some type of device to prevent it going backwards if something breaks. There should also be some type of speed control that cuts off the power. Not as many safety features in second world countries.
 
I'll be honest, at first I was like, "WTF, a ski lift in Georgia?"

That looks pretty fucking terrifying... Never trusted ski lifts. Ski lifts were never my friend.

There's ski blades and poles (Sharp flying projectiles)

Doesnt take that much speed to get a broken neck as you're not in the most flexible state wearing heavy ski boots
