Luke Rockhold joins Henri Hooft team.
No link. No pics .
Good thread there buddy
Head Kicking Struve.
He's been training on and off with Hooft for quite some time now.
Rockhold is still the best middleweight fighter in the world. Just wish he'd fight Romero instead of a Branch.
I thought it was hilarious when Bisping knocked him out, but the mess at the top of 185 wasn't worth it.
TS was being a phag. 2 threads he made on the same topic- but no pics no links nothing.
I beg to differ. I can only remember a few other MMA moments that I enjoyed as much as that. Serra over GSP was one of them.
How you perform under the lights is all that matters, so how is he the best? One of the best, yes. Potential to be the best in the future, yes. He's right up there but give Bisping some credit.
The underdog win was great. Bisping defending against a 67 year old who beat him(twice) was not great. And this layoff while everyone at the top knocks each other off is also not great. And the GSP fight is dumb.
That's true. I didn't care about the guy who molested the tiger. I didn't wanna see Bisping as champ, though - and it's painfully obvious now that I was right to feel that way.
Middleweight was a hotbed of talent in the UFC. Suddenly, it's become clusterfuck. It's in complete disarray. Weidman, who lost out on a rematch with Rockhold to Bisping then had to fight Romero instead of Bisping... loses. Loses to another top contender and is now in the hole. That same contender leaves. A new challenger arises and beats Souza who was close to the top, and fights Romero, who's clearly the man to beat in the division and probably should've fought for title one or two fights ago. Beats Romero by a narrow decision but is injured... now people see Romero as a recent loser, Souza as a recent loser, Weidman close to shot... It's like everybody looks tainted. And somehow GDP ends up as the man to face Bisping.
Much of this doesn't even happen if Bisping didn't get a shot. If he fought the best guy's, they wouldn't have been knocking each other off and log-jamming the top of 185.
I wouldn't. Care if Bisping had to drop out of this fight and never returned.
I've seen people give Luke more credit for having bad defense than Bisping for landing the punch. Crazy.
The best thing was when he vistied some local TV station in Pittsburgh to promote David Branch fight. They showed on big screen his fight (scraps) against Bisping 2.
Few more seconds and there would be fireworks....
It's because it's true. I literally watched the fight again an hour ago. Bisping throws that same 1-2 combo like 7 times. Rockhold is charging him with his hands down and chin up in the air. It's obvious he took bisping for a little kid that couldn't hurt him. He throws a step in jab and exits with his hands down. This win is all on rockhold for being stupid, cocky and thinking he's invincible. He wanted to finish Bisping in the first, hence why he rushed but he's got a bad chin which he got reminded of. Skill wise, Rockhold is the best fighter.
Good look on your retirement speech Luke
Good post. I've long been a Bisping hater and thought nothing of his fight skills, so I'm still shocked he KO'd Rockhold from the perspective of a fight fan. However, I actually kind of expected Rockhold to lose when the fight was happening. My reasoning was that Bisping has been so lucky in his career, a fluke KO to become champion would fit the guy's million dollar career. The Hendo rematch and GSP money fight just seem to fit the luck he has had even further.
Bisping was right about a few things about Rockhold's game, Rockhold is a good out side striker but not good at boxing range and mainly throw single strikes. In the pocket Luke is in a disadvantage with his long arms similar thing with Jon Jones.
how original of you.
Cant remember a fighter winning with hooft in the corner off the top of my head
