Looking back at Frank Mir's career in the UFC, how would you remember him?

So Frank is off to Bellator, he's been fighting in the UFC for 16 years. Had loads of memberable fights. Love him or hate him, he's a pioneer to the sport. Which was your favorite fight?

Great fighter

Unfortunately for me I bought UFC 111

( last one before i started streaming for a multitude of reasons, one of them being that it was a shit card for the most part)

Therefore the most vivid memory of Mir that I have is Carwin nearly killing him and me watching in horror as I legitimately thought I watched the first UFC octagon death

But still easy hof fighter and everything. But yeah. Unfortunately thats my biggest memory of him

I like Mir, but the Main Event on UFC's biggest card makes this easy to remember ...

Absolute savage submission specialist, destroyed Nog twice, swag haircut, intelligent, incredible comeback story, headphones.

I remember him as a super intelligent commentator as well as fighter. Thats what always stood out to me the most.
He did seem to get stopped alot by some big punchers and giant HW's but he also won fights I thought he would lose.
A pioneer for BJJ in mma also. Viscious submission artist who would break a limb.

Basically. A certified bad ass legend

You spelled Wes Sims wrong

UFC Stalwart, arm breaker, cool dude, great comeback after motorcycle accident to become top fighter again. Put on some great fights! Good luck man!

Oh and...Kangaroo Meat.

Mir is working on the intricacies of details of contract negotiations that we still don't even know the names of

UFC 100. :D Strawberries and horse shoes included.

Ostrich defense.

Forgot that Carwin can punch him.

And I'll put in a positive moment too the Tim Sylvia sub.

Very good fighter and an exceptional submission artist. His trash talk and mind games were funny, too.

I always looked forward to his fights. He's one of my favorite fighters.

Don't let the guy get you in an armbar....

Also coming back after 4 brutal losses and finishing two guys in a row.

Tough as nails.

I was hoping his fight with Barnett would end up on the ground at some point but it ended too quick.
