You're also trying to argue that all his career needs to perfectly mimic Naseems is for him to retire - which is not true. Naseems career fizzled out after the Barrera loss. If anything, Conor's career sky rocketed after the Diaz loss. You're just afraid to admit that's what you originally meant, so you're pussy footing around it, and trying to be passive aggressive.

I think beating Eddie is a big deal, but I do think the Aldo win is a much bigger feather in his cap.

Definitely for sure. Aldo was such a dominant champion.

I remember when Aldo and Mcgregor did their press conference tour and the first stop was in brazil. That one fan who said "ALDO IS GOD!" always stuck with me.

Mcgregor cemented all his talk and hype when he smoked Aldo. Thats the exact moment he transcended to a great and legendary fighter. Im not even that big of a Conor fan but its hard to not be impressed by a guy dethroning a 10 year champion, and doing it in devastating fashion and in record time.... oh yeah and he predicted it all too.

    Very impressive.

If Ali was scummy, then what do you call McGregor? He talked about Mayweather's kids and ex-wife. He's the most disrespectful fighter in the game. I don't know if what Ali did rises to the level of scummy.

Ali was a showman who called Frazier a gorilla and disparaged his opponents. However, I think that most people saw that it was about promotion. A lot of what McGregor is about promotion, but he rather often steps over the line.

This comparison is really spot on. Conor is making a ton of money before getting exposed. He can laugh all the way to bank after Floyd KOs him.

Wilfredo Vasquez Sr maybe? longtime fw champion. Bit older when naz fought him. Hall of famer

Naz dropped him like 5 times and stopped him in the 7th

Or kevin kelly. One of the best in the world when him and naz fought but the fight was even and an absolute war. the FOTY for that year.

Ali was a consciencous objector who had a deep moral objection to the war. He would've served like Elvis, and done boxing exhibitions around the world, not fought, and he still objected. He was willing to be harmed for his stance. Dradt dodgers ran to Canada.

Ali was sentenced to prison, but didn't serve. He was in no way certain that he would ever be able to fight again professionally, much less become a millionaire.
