Barnett is not on the same level as Browne. More experience, yes, but he's never fought this kind of athlete before. I have honestly never seen such a lopsided opinion in favor of the guy I knew was going to lose. I'm truly baffled at how many people are underestimating Hapa.

    Browne by KO, R2

That doesn't mean that 86% of Sherdog doesn't give Browne a chance, they just think Josh is going to win. I'm picking Barnett to win but I think Browne can pull it off.

Browne is the single most unlikable fighter in the sport. Beyond that, he hasn't really exhibited standout skills in area to be honest. He's just average. Combined with being extremely arrogant, he becomes the target of much hatred.

Still, this is HW and anything can happen with one punch. At the very least, he showed great toughness against Reem. Still looked absolutely terrible though.

Brown's standup is sloppy and his ground game is flawed.

Barnett will take him down, exhaust him, and then go for the finish.

As for the 86% percentage, we've been wrong before (Fedor/Werdum)(GSP/Serra1) by that margin. But if the popular opinion is so lopsided against your favor, maybe there's something you're missing.

So what are you going to say if Browne loses? That he won? Since you know who is going to win...

I think 90% had nelson winning over stipe, and I thought nelson would win too I think I created the poll to help me feel comfortable about my bet. Some things are overlooked by many. IMO barnetts the favorite but at -190 he shouldn't have 86% on his side

Browne is going to get worked, dudes only chance of winning is some awkward strike landing right on the button, Barnett via decision.

Exactly. You can be 51% sure of something, meaning you will pick that way, so the 86% of people picking him doesn't translate into people thinking it is a sure thing.

Unlike you, TS, but in the opposite direction. That's the real mistake - acting like anything is a surety in this sport. There are very few fights where I've felt sure enough to boast about it. Like when Silva fought Irwin. That was a foregone conclusion if there ever was one. This is not, however.

I don't see how Browne can be the single most unlikable fighter when Brendan Schaub hasn't retired yet (though every day I wish he will).

I considered that, quite honestly, before making this thread. But I just don't see what's so special about Barnett. He's good, but he's not great. Before the clinch against the cage, Murr was at least equaling his stand-up. Cormier out worked Barnett big time. I know Hapa isn't a wrestler, but he's on another level right now. 6'8", 250-260, agile as a cat. This will be ugly for Josh.

Honestly I think Browne destroys him. I think the youth and athletic ability will be way too much for Barnett.
