List of fighters opinion on WMMA

The way I look at it: the majority of male fighters aren't good enough to be in the UFC, same as the majority of the women. Too many shit fights that should be on local promotions.

I’ll give you my opinion. I train with s bunch of girls who are very talented and I love being a part of their camp and helping them improve. They put in just as much work as the guys do and give the same sacrifice that any male fighter does to become great. I respect them for it and have nothing against them being fighters.

Having said that, when I watch the ufc, I watch to see the best fighters on the planet. I think they should’ve promoted invicta as they have but put all of the best wmma fighters in that promotion just like the ufc has with the guys. Bringing girls into the ufc was a money grab decision backed off of Ronda’s popularity at the time. Now we’ve seen women making their ufc debut on a ppv and they have less then 5 fights. I know guys with great records and have skills that far surpass some of these girls getting called up, and the guys never got that call.

TLDR-I have no problem with girls fighting
-Do I think they should be fighting in the ufc? No.

Do you not like lighter weight classes for that same reason? I doubt TJ Dillashaw would be top 30 without weight classes.

Or do you just mean best in terms of skill, not in overall ability to win a fight?

WMMA needs time to develop, both in terms of growing a deeper talent pool, and in terms of gaining acceptance while overcoming the double standard that many female athletes face in other sports. Nothing is worse in MMA than the male HW division. Seriously, heavyweights have no business fighting in MMA. Undersized HW's dominate the HW division, and that's all you need to know. HW males are not built for grappling for lengthy periods.

Even in boxing the greatest HW of all time was 5'11. Now we have gangly HW's in boxing who have terrible technique, but get by on being awkwardly tall.

You can't shit on WMMA without shitting on the multitude of untalented fighters that proliferate every weight class of MMA.

Tbh I think every weightclass under HW is some kind of special olympics anyway. Best fighter is ofc always HW champion, other weight classes are just for luls and to make more money.
Add all kinds of cheating like weight cutting (sanctioned cheating) and it's full circus.

Well Jon Jones isn't a HW and neither is Gus. Gus would beat most of the Heavyweights.
