Yes, a 40 year old who went undefeated for a decade is overrated.Get over it. Fedor is heavily overrated.
Who da fook is this guy?

Get real, he's a pro fighter but he's a journeyman at best. The arguable GOAT at age 40, who shouldn't even be fighting anymore, is out there losing to journeymen in sad fashion. It was obvious he should've hung it up after the Werdum and Bigfoot losses. How is Matt not legit?
True, and he's a pro fighter so he is legit, all pros in UFC and Bellator are legit. But a realistic comparison of where Matt Mitrione falls in the HW spectrum is that he was a journeymen at best. The arguable GOAT who already should've hung it up just got his head pounded in by this guy, it's sad because he shouldn't even be in there.Mitrione is easily the biggest challenge Fedor has faced since Werdum imo. He's good.
And it was a double KO. Meathead woke up first. The punches were a coin flip and whoever woke up first was a coin flip.
Get over yourself haters.
The GOAT needs to retire.
His accomplishments are set in stone, they cannot be erased no matter how many haters try to understate what he has accomplished in his career. His run was special, and during those years it was a fun time to be a fan.
Unfortunately, the overwhelming majority of the fans on this forum weren't around back when he was at the top of the game. Just try to excuse their ignorance, OG fight fans.
A lot of people say Fedor looked flatfooted and slow but to me he didnt at all. Mitrione came out with that Karate, in and out movement, bouncing on his toes and staying light on his feet. Usually guys do that when theyre not fully confident in exchanging from punching distance but are still dangerous because they are looking to counter. Fedor knew that the only way he could freeze Mitrione and force him to engage was to be somewhat still and after about 45 seconds of measuring Mitrione he reeled him in and landed a good right straight on the chin and floored Matt. Unfortunately for Fedor, Matt was throwing at that second too and landed right on Fedors chin which is so deteriorated that he folded like a lawn chair from a strike he would have eaten for breakfast 10 years ago. Prime Fedor would have NEVER been floored by that shot.
I thought I was being real and still contend soGet real, he's a pro fighter but he's a journeyman at best. So he could not even take 1 punch but was not dominated? There was a grand total of 1, maybe two punches thrown. And it was a double KO. Meathead woke up first. The punches were a coin flip and whoever woke up first was a coin flip.

Agree to disagree then. All i'm saying is Fedor at his best compared to Mitrione at his best is not even close. Matt is a pro, of course he is legit but his place on the HW spectrum is a journeyman who is better than people thought he would ever be.I thought I was being real and still contend so
I would even pick Timmeh to knock him out if they were to fight again. And Arlovski. The guys at HW are just bigger and more technical nowadays. He was always a small HW. The size advantage is a huge obstacle for him in today's HW landscape.
That said, I would pick Crocop to knock him out if they were to fight again.
It wasn't a double KO.
His punch landed on Mitrione's shoulder and Mitrione simply fell down. He was off balance.
On the other hand, Fedor went the fuck to sleep after Mitrione got on him.
Feodore got dominated, emasculated and embarrassed.
I mean, once you put words in my mouth, I couldn't really take your post seriously. I don't think you need to even begin to believe you could understand what my opinion would be of ANYTHING, much less this one single instance.Neither can the history of him ducking Brock Lesnar and other top UFC HW's once their HW division got really strong while he was fighting once a year in Affliction and other random freak shows instead of competing amongst the best. You also can't erase the brutal beatdowns he took at an age where he should have easily still been dominant had he evolved his fighting skills like the rest of the HW's did where many got better as they got older. His skill set was diverse at one point in time, but then it became very limited once everyone else got more diverse. Guys like you will try to say oh he was washed up, but no one gets washed up that early unless they fail to evolve and adjust with the sport. He refused to, and his mystique got badly exposed. Arrogance gets the best of everybody. It got the best of him, and people just ignore that part because he's very quiet and humble. That is also SET IN STONE whether you want to see that part of the stone or not.
