Yes, because every street fight I have ever been in was preceded by a 10 to 15 lb weight cut and a governing body sanctioned weigh in. We of course fought bare footed and rolled around on the sizzling hot summer asphalt in nothing but our jimmies.

Curious on what you think has changed, that would make them a liability now that wasn't so before? Fighters used to wear shoes in the UFC, are you suggesting that they didn't know what was best for themselves, or that the game has changed? If so, how?

I believe PRIDE allowed wrestling shoes but fighters who wear them were not allowed to throw high kicks.
