It's not like strength is the main power dynamic in most of the #metoo cases

The majority of the cases have been about social power dynamics.

That's because you're supposed to report those crimes to the police, who are required to listen to you and who have an actual system, with special abilities and training to investigate, alongside painstakingly determined statutes of limitations, assumption of innocence, and all the other things that make-up the criminal justice system we've developed over millennia. Instead of talking to a random person or (in Rose McGowan's case), Ben Affleck, and trying to do trial-by-twitter.

If a police officer doesn't take you seriously, you can report those police officers and their supervisor will listen.

Because my point isn't that women are incapable of hurting or killing men. It also isn't that women are off-limits and shouldn't be harmed no matter what.

My point is that women are VASTLY less aggressive and weaker than men, so serious physical confrontations with them need a stronger justification than they do with average adult men. It's obvious that when your life is in danger because a woman is wielding weapons or is a fucking hired assassin, you have all the right in the world to protect yourself using your full strength.

Nassar's victims weren't simply reporting to random people. They were reporting to people involved in the program at the university; a university that ostensibly had a policy in place to look into and prevent sexual misconduct. Maybe the victims should have gone to the police sooner, but I'm not comfortable saying we've got it figured out because it could have worked out better/faster if they'd gone through a different channel right away. And I don't see how retribution against Garcia without an investigation helps anybody.

In the dugout at the softball game? All she had to do was say "good game." It's in the rules!

But you assumed already that the woman is attacking when you talked about being "scratched" and what damage that presented. Which of course, is in line with this thread which is about a woman being accused of aggressively sexually assaulting men.

No, it's not. It's not obvious. That's why I showed you videos where people get attacked, by apparently harmless women, and walk away and ride away, and didn't realize that they were stabbed and even died shortly later. If the men I showed you ignored those attacks because it was a woman, then they were fools and paid for it with their lives.

People in the program at the university are not the police. Those people have a conflict of interest in that stopping the gymnastics program threatens their own well-being. Which is why you go to the police, and not them, or Ben Affleck, or your Instagram account, or anyone else.

I'm sorry, but this is a very frustrating topic.

Firing a doctor doesn't necessitate closing down an entire program. The only reason that program is catching so much heat is because they kept trying to sweep it under the rug.

I know it's frustrating, but let's not act like going to the police is infallible. Here's an article about a woman whose rape kit went untested for 18 years.

Those people don't know what's going to happen to the gymnastics program or them. Especially if other people hadn't reported the issue, or who would get blamed for what. The whole USA gymnastics board resigned after the Nassar situation came to light. Penn State's entire football program got essentially destroyed by the Paterno scandal...they were fined $60 million, had all of their wins vacated for over a decade, were banned from bowl games, and had multiple members of their organization brought up on criminal charges.

The police are a lot less fallible than random people who aren't the police.

Another thing about rape shield laws that's important. They don't just protect the victim, they protect the integrity of the process. Rape charges are made as a form of extortion all the time, but a rape shield at the very least prevents an accuser from gaining publicity from the accusation, helping to insure that there's no appearance of a conflict of interest on their part, which keeps them safe from public judgement and (to some extent) cuts down on frivolous accusations.

The common thread between the Nassar and Sandusky scandals is that people who knew about the abuse and should have stepped in didn't.

2 girls did go to the legit police

Nassar has one of his doctor buddies tell the cops that was Nassar did was a textbook routine and the girls’ only thought they were finger fucked because they don’t know their own bodies

This was years before the story broke. Cops failed to protect those girls too, although they were either greatly misled or straight up lied too. Cops told the school officials to have another professional in the room with Nassar for future exams, but the college didn’t follow through on that and it was never enforced

none of that shit matters in this situation .. again a guy complaining and whining because some chick grabbed his behind .. guys have been turned into vaginas .. I mean visualize that .. visualize a guy filing a complaint because a chick touched him lol .. wtf cares if some chick grabbed at you .. then the man yells 'well equality' like some high estrogen homo following the woman's narrative 'well equality .. i can't touch you, you can't touch me' .. be a man and be in control .. women can complain all they want .. that's their thing .. victim hood and whining about shit because well .. we know why .. you don't follow that and start acting like them
