Last time you listened to the Howard Stern show?

I'd say 2010? Shortly after Artie Lange got kicked off the show (or kicked him self off the show ). Became unlistenable without him.

Those first few years on Sirius were great though. Anyone still listen?

I listened up until he left regular radio and went to Sirius. I have not listened since. There was no one else like him on the radio.

On 9/11 last year I listened to the episode from 9/11/01. It was very interesting to hear the reactions they had live.

i stopped listening around 2014. I have siriusxm in my car, but I'm not paying extra to hear his channels

The week before he went to satellite. I'm not paying for that.

I'm over Stern anyway. He's such an arrogant instigator, and his head has been growing so much since he went to xm.

I saw him in Comedians in cars getting coffee, and he acts like he truly is the man who finds talent because he's a faux judge now. He's such a diva, and has lost his roots and is just a rich celebrity now who thinks they're the voice of America, when he's still just a shock jock.

I used to watch the show on E! when I was like 12. Especially when porn stars were the guests...

Never listened live and didn't get into Howard until after artie left but at some point a few years ago I consumed every Howard video on YouTube and now listen to the older bits or compilation videos (p dot) almost daily as background noise.

P dot is awesome...MySternCollection3 has a shit ton of full episodes from back in the day.

Makes a youtubered subscription worth it.

Show sucks now.

Edit: is your SN an homage to the Beetle theme?

You can catch alot of his new stuff on youtube

I'm a millenial so never. I vaguely remember him from childhood though!

Still listen. It's either funny as shit or its meh but it something to listen to where they aren't constantly talking about Trump

I started listening to him again a few months ago.

His interviews are actually very good.

Howard's best of 2017 (collection of celebrity, musician, etc interviews) was fantastic.

I listened to several of them on a recent road trip.

here is a hilarious video of when howard was still great. it's a rather long video. watch the first ten minutes, and see what you think. it only gets better after that:

Ronnie brings many laughs. Especially when his mom called in. I think Howard almost pissed his pants.

Last week. The best days are behind, but it's OK. I liked it better with Jackie and Artie, Sybian rides and entertaining B&C level celebrities.

GOAT radio in the 90s. The show didn't jump the shark all at once, it felt like a slow death over the years. I'd say Jackie leaving might have been the start of the slow death, then came satellite radio which didn't pan out as cool as it should have and he lost a huge chunk of his audience, then Aarti leaving and i guess America's Got Talent was the nail in the coffin(some say that came because Stern lost a $300 million lawsuit against Sirius XM for allegedly cheating him out of promised stock bonuses and he completely stopped giving a fuck)

Either way the show was bound to eventually dry up. I haven't listen full time in many years. Honestly I'm not sure. I catch a few clips here and there now.

When he moved to Sirius. Even if he hadn’t moved, it would have been about that time as I was no longer a 15 year old kid that liked fart humor.

It's been a while since I caught him live, like 3 years or so. Occasionally I'll listen to/watch some clips on YouTube. I used to listen to him regularly, but I just fell out of it like 10 years ago or so.

he-himself isn't funny, but i think howard was a genius at on-the-fly observations, and he was great at asking the questions the audience was wondering about when guests were on his show. he had a great rapport with the classic crew of fred, jackie, gary, artie, etc. the only person who was and continues to be a complete waste of space is robin. i think the only reason they kept her there, was for racial absolution when they would make jokes of black people.
I don't think so. This is going back to the early 80s where political correctness wasn't really a thing yet. MTV still refused to play videos by black artists. The reason why they kept Robin is because the other newsreaders that they had worked with didn't get along with Howard and the crew and were offended by the material and his interactions with them. Robin was able to hold her own and get along with them. So they lobbied to keep her on the air with them even after Howard had moved from Washington, D.C. to New York City.

I remember the horror of that day well. Is that available on the internet? If so, do you have a link?

I listened to him on K-Rock.
