So when are they going to be done cooking the books enough to give us an official story on what happened there? There should be plenty of hotel footage, etc. which I believe was subpoena'ed by a judge a month or two after "the incident". Will this odd stunt ever come to light?

That's just exhibition of a possible "why" that leaves us with our current and enduring reality: there is no why. I was demonstrating how-- in the case of evil-- it doesn't matter if speculation is or isn't true; rather, ultimately, it's simply futile.

The truth as we know it is unconditional.

Meh - I don't think there is too much more to add to what the police have already said.

    - smart guy, but a sociopath
    - clever in making money through real estate and gambling.
    - started to gamble more, liked the comp'd lifestyle until he started to lose.
    - gambling losses now outnumber wins and he devolves into anger and retribution.
    - meticulously plans how to kill a bunch of people -- a product of his anger and sociopath nature.

**bonus: being a criminal runs in the family.

What else do we need to know?

I'm not sure what you mean by this. The internet didn't make people curious. That's just human nature.

I'm starting to believe more and more that these psychiatric drugs can push people on the brink to committing violent acts. No idea of the mechanism but these medications have FDA warnings about increased risk of suicide. It seems like these may lower inhibition, cause dissociative states, or flat out cause violent behavior. The shooter was on these drugs, as is the case with a majority of mass shooters.

I posted a link to that police report jackass. A judge ruled they had to release more information and you are pissed at me? You are upset that they have pretty much ruled he was the lone person responsible for this, and now they have to release the information on the case? What is it people say all the time "if you have nothing to hide, then what are you worried about".

This is great for transparency like it or not. We got their preemtive report, they have shown the court no reason to keep their findings from the public. So now the public gets to see more and you think this interrupts their investigation? The judge says other wise. Maybe you are on the wrong side of free speech. Stop licking the boot and enjoy the transparency the court has granted the public. If you aren't interested in the information don't look at it.

    I agree.

Someone who thinks they have a problem goes to the doctor and gets a "fix"

This fix makes you feel good. Makes you feel like this is the real you. You'e hooked

Insert weird side effects that no one saw coming

    Time to change the dose

Start losing track of who the real you is

    Start creating your own reality

Meanwhile the main issue is still there. Never treated

He was a crazy genius that was never acknowledged by his absentee father or society, ran into some major financial hiccups and snapped and "proved" to everyone how powerful and smart he is. Pretty sure this will be the conclusion.

Seems like it ticks every check box for what we do know and complies with Occam's razor. Imo pretty easy to see some delusion of grandeur would lead to this with the reports of how he flipped out when the casino's stopped comping him

Meh, had that pointed out to me like a week ago. Should have lead with that, I would have agreed with you. The post you quoted had nothing to do with that. So forgive the jackass part.

Anyways it sounds like the case is pretty much wrapped up with the court forcing the release of this next wave of evidence. After the autopsy report is release hopefully we can end all the talk of him being shot in the chest and people will accept that it was all Paddock.

the lead detective (or multiple) would be offered to sit through the autopsy, which it would be crazy to decline with how big this incident was. It would be on a closed circuit monitor being recorded with glass in between so they could view it in person or the monitor or switch between by just looking. The autopsy would be done first thing the next morning--maybe a day later at the very latest, and all the photos and x-rays taken and samples collected at that time.

Usually the body would be released later the same day as the autopsy to a funeral home of the next of kin's choosing. If the body was already identified, which it was of course, then it would be hard to justify keeping it.

Final reports usually take 6 to 12 months--so this one was hurried for public interest. So, law enforcement wouldn't have the results to review before cremation because they wouldn't even be finished by the pathologist. The family could request an additional autopsy at their own expense which could delay the process.
