the media took this from a tragedy to a circus
No matter what you/we think happened, no one can dispute the media put a spin on this to put GZ into a really bad place BEFORE they even bothered looking at the facts of the case. I mean seriously, the use a picture of the victim from when he was 13, yet use a mug shot of the accused from almost 10 years ago...

Note that the media don't generally own photos of people. They'd most likely have to ask the family for a photo unless they had something on file or something they can easily get, like a mug shot.
