Poirer can not be in front of Ferguson
he must do another fight .. preferably Alvarez
Ferguson is going to be out for too long. Khabib has time for a title defense before he comes back
Well Poirier can't be infront of Alvarez either, that's why it should be booked. Obviously Ferg is fucked til next year
Khabib's religious obligations "not eating a month for Ramadan" limit it .... no Khabib until autumn
Ferg out 18 months dude...
why 18 months???
If khabib vs tony doesn't happen next then I think poirier should just get the title shot.
That's not far. He says he'll be back defending by September. He just fought 2 matches in 6 months, and that's a lot considering its khabib!
Because he is severely injured.
Tendon injuries can be nasty. It will take him a while to even walk normal again let alone train and get in fight shape. Maybe not 18 months. But he certainly will not be back this year.
Ferguson won't fight this year. Nurmagomedov vs Poirier and then Alvarez fighting the winner of Barboza/Lee.
I know for all intents and purposes Conor appears retired plus the possibility of suspension for his actions in NY but they need to book him vs khabib. Back the fucking brinks truck up and make it happen. Let khabib start unifying these belts.
There's too much unfinished business between Dustin and Eddie to have Dustin fighting for a title. Dustin/Eddie 2 has to happen now for number one contender
Ferg is a non factor till some time next year I'm thinking
Tony isn't ready. Khabib vs Dustin would make the most sense right now, unless conor finally decides to step back in.
But i'd be good with dustin next and then tony getting an immediate title shot when he returns.
I wouldn't mind Poirier getting a title shot right now, but that's only because I think the UFC should get some momentum in the LW-division.
Alvarez vs Poirier for a no.1 contender spot would be nice too. Above all, I just want Khabib to be active
Such a dumb excuse, in Ramadan you can still have about 7 hours a day to eat. Its glorified intermittent fasting.
Khabib just refuses to train
Khabib should wait for Mcgregor or GSP.
Alvarez should never get a title shot ever again.
If he earns it, he should get one. He wasn't necessarily the best champ ever, but this man is a warrior.
Conor is retired, GSP is ill and retired, Tony is injured and retarded... Dustin seems to be a good option for this year title defense.
Conor ruined Dustin and Alvarez for me forever.
He didn't beat them, he fucking humiliated them. Made them look like rookies.
I can't wrap my head around the fact that they might be fighting for the title.
There is a big gap between Khabib and Conor, and the rest of the division.
Ferguson's injury fucked up everything...
Like I said. Khabib should wait. The UFC does want it is its best interests, why not him?
Alvarez will not earn anything after that piss poor performance against Mcgregor. It's one thing to lose to the first punch thrown in a fight. How often does that happen? It's also one thing to lose in a beat down like Fitch against GSP.
But it is another to lose the way Alvarez did.
Agree with the point that it was a terrible fight for Alvarez. Agree with the Aldo argument.
Both things happened though from my perspective for a reason. And this reason is - Conor. He just got into this two guys heads, and both of them fought in a different way than usually (well... Eddie fought, Aldo was just KO'd).
Aldo would never open like he did throwing that huge punch. Eddie would also most probably wrestle more. Both did not stick to the game plan.
I don't agree that Eddie has no chance for a TS. I mean c'mon. If he beats 1 or 2 guys from the top 5 he should get one. He certainly earned it more than Conor who was not defending for 500+ days.
I actually think this might be an interesting fight. Khabib does have lots of holes in his fighting game.
Anyway - I want to see Khabib against a top contender. Al did a good job, but he is not that good. The fight was shit to be honest.
Huh? For what? For beating Pettis and Justin,? GTFO
