Khabib padded record, only 8 fights in ufc?!

For the credit Conor gets amongst casuals, his record isn't great either. If we're talking BJ Penn, Franklin, Griffin, Faber, Lesnar, etc. then yea, Conor is up there by the end of his career.

As for actual greats in the making? Khabib is on his way toward Jones/Andy/Fedor/GSP status. Not yet(he's only 28) but let's see how far he goes.

You compare Khabib who fought two top 10 fighters with Jones and Anderson but somehow disregard conor who has beaten two champions( one was p4p no1 at that time).

What a strong logic you have right there.

Whose rankings are those?

The UFC had RDA at #5.

Nope. The UFC had him ranked at number 6, because the way the offical UFC rankings work is that they list the champion then the 1,2,3,5,etc... like this...

See RDA was really number 6.

I just realized that other rankings list you posted had Michael Chandler on there. Where'd you find that?

I don't know what it is, but people seem to get delusionally weird boners over Russian fighters around here. Khabib is a great fighter no doubt, but he still has a lot to prove.

So besides the other same few undisputed GOAT candidates that have been there for years...who do you have as a future GOAT contender? Anyone with losses in their prime is out.

Basically if you lose(without it being a farce) before you're 20-0 or 30years old, you're not elegible.

So are you saying anyone who lost in his so called " prime" can't be GOAT ?
Then both GSP and Anderson should he eliminated from the GOAT list.
Plus, How the hell do you know when the person's prime start and end ?

If you are talking about the physical prime, yes its around the age of 23 to 28 but it has nothing to do with skills that are accumulated over years.
How about the level competition you faces ? Performance you showed in every fights ?

You can't simply judge a fighter based on having lose during his physical prime, that's just stupid.

Khabib is the LW Goat and since he is a WW now, he will also be the WW Goat. Deal with it.

TJ Grant hadn't fought a match since 2013 (and still hasn't). So RDA was still the fifth top guy on the roster by way of activity.

I do agree Habib has been prematurely overranked.

He's been getting fast tracked for the potential Russian revenue and they realize once that O goes, he will be a tougher sell.

Most of the guys ranked above RDA, no matter whose rankings you look at, went on to be on losing streaks. Pettis, Melendez, Thomson, Henderson.

Had he fought those so-called "top 5 " guys, we'd be hearing about how Khabib only beat up fighters "out of their prime"... People will find a way to discredit him regardless.

He will never be in those guys status. The hype for this pullout machine is ridiculous.

I'm not trying to discredit Khabib he's a great fighter, but there are things to take in consideration.

1. He's never beat a top 5 ranked opponent (regardless of how you want to spin it)

2. He's not very active.

3. He seems to be injury prone.

He has the potential, but he still has a long ways to go.
