Khabib has now OUTSTRUCK pretty much all top LW strikers : RDA, MJ, Barboza, Al Iaquinta ...

His wrestling didn't look so terrible against Chad but it's hard to say where it's at nowadays. I'm sure he's improved some. Al was doing very good defensively and we know he's not on Conor's level as a fighter so it's hard to say
Al was a coligate wrestler with much better TDD than most LWs. His wrestling has proven to be better than Conor's.

Conor's TDD is good but nothing special compared to the guys Khabib has fought.

Not a lot to argue here. I wanna say it's up in the air more than anything. The one concern id have for Khabib is he likes to dive for the ankle to get in on the single and it's not going to be easy against footwork like Conor's.

Of course, it would be very stupid to expect Conor to stop all takedowns. I see him on the mat at some point. But I do wonder how effective he'll be at defending, escaping and standing. I was pretty shocked at how much Al was able to stop Khabib's offense from top and stand back up.

RDA: was in a 5-win streak, became champ one year later. Destroyed Cerrone(2X), prime Benson, Pettis etc

MJ: had just KTFO Dustin Poirier, soundly outstruck Tony(inb4 broken arm excuses) and Barboza

Barboza: spinning shit, had just murdered Dariush

Al Iaquinta: 5-win streak with 4 (T)KOs

"Outstruck"

You mean he out GnP'd them

Since When are any of those considered the top strikers of LW

Conor has worse boxing than Al. I don't see how Conor the left straight one trick pony is going to do what no one else could.
been boxing for over 10 years

Can tell you that you are so wrong that It's actually painful and cringy

Conor is objectively the best boxer in MMA currently, you could argue ever as well.

Tell me something, how many punches did he land while standing up compared to the strikes he lands on his fukn knees or while lying down. Khabib in a striking only fight would get beaten soundly by 6-7/10 ranked lightweights.

Yeah that's funny because max is a far better boxer, so is Frankie. Nick Diaz would outbox Conor easily, too.

On paper, Khabib is actually a better striker than Conor McGregor. Khabib has better accuracy and better defense. But, let the dummies like Brendan Schaub feed the gullible fans hyped up nonsense.

MMA is not boxing. In MMA you don have to strike on the feet, you can strike at any phase of the fight (1) on the feet (2) in the clinch and (3) on the ground. So, to say that Conor is a "better striker than Khabib" is not backed up by MMA relevant evidence. Is Conor a better boxer? I believe that, because there is strong evidence to support it.

Is Conor a better MMA striker than Khabib? I don't believe it, because the stats tell me that he isn't.
LOL

No, you just have zero clue what you're talking about. Please stop.

This is reaching new levels of embarrassing

Holding someone down and landing powderpuff punches does not qualify as outstriking anyone.

and khabib is too busy calling out fighters that have retired

he dont want none of Conor lol
He's been calling out "your chicken" for the past few years. Conor is the one who doesn't want any of Khabib.

But joe rogan said his technique is bad! It doesnt count

Joe rogan kicks harder than an african exploding in a ford escort even though he's in his 80s

Khabib only shot in for the low single because of Al's super low wrestling stance and inactivity. Khabib perfers reactive TDs, taking advantage of agressive or fearful opponents. Al was extremely cautious and left very few openings with his stance. In later rounds the low single became less effective because both men were sweating and much harder to grip onto. Plus Khabib was not commiting to them. He didn't attempt to chain his TDs which is unheard of.

While Al did build up his base a fair bit he just kept getting broken down again and gave up his back several times.

Khabib's lack of GnP in the fight shocked me. Typically, he would have landed at least 60 strikes on the ground in those first 2 rounds. He was more than capable of doing so. He was very focused on getting that RNC and came close sever times. Khabib showed good adaptation in this fight. And imo his jabs and uppercuts were surprisingly solid.

Khabib willingly took a bunch of risks to test himself. Now that he got thise answers I don't see him ever doing this again.

I think his camp will help to close up those holes and make sure he sticks to the game plan. Khabib will not fight like this against Conor.

Luckily for Khabib, Connor sucks at wrestling (i mean who gets taken down by Nate Diaz lol) and his ground game is average at best

He looked improved against Eddie. And Conor is sooooooooo much better on the feet. Khabib would get slept inside 2 IMO..

acts the big man calling Conor out, then would get injured if someone looked at him the wrong way lol

Al might not be as good of a fighter as Connor but Al's wrestling is definitely better than Connor's and he was doing everything he could to not taken down, including loosing the stand up battle.

Eddie isn't a wrestler, when has he taken somebody down ? The guy is a brawler

The reason why he outstruck them is because they are worried about his wrestling

lol @ noobs not knowing this.
Wrestlers outstriking strikers because of this has happened SOOOO many times in the history of this sport.
