He didnt win adcc lol. Im a khabib fan. He won naga under adcc rules. Naga isnt that special of a grappling comp. not that khabib isnt a bad ass grappler but winning adcc is on a way diff level than a naga comp.

He is dangerous EVERYWHERE on the ground.

No MMA fighter is going to be the best at grappling. Jacare certainly would be an example, his grappling is not what it was when that is all he did. Khabib is a beast on the ground. I would like to see him and Maia at 170. I am all for interesting fights taht don't hold up the title. It would be a grapple fest and the odds of an injury keeping him on ice a long time wouldn't be high. Would be a nice test run at 170 for Khabib too.

Winning NAGA is like winning your first mma fight that was held in a bar somewhere in the south (compared to ADCC).

NAGA is not an extraordinary accomplishment tho, Gall won one of those.

That being said, his grappling is very impressive, both on top and on his back.

NAGA is pretty huge. Lots of elite grapplers compete there. Even in a smaller venue like NAGA Albany gets it's fair share of top bjj guys.


ADCC is definitely top tier with Mundials for sure, but NAGA events especially in large venues (NY/LA) get top talent.

Yep guess those girls could outgrapple Max and stop takedowns from ncaa all american Mendes.

20 year old Max’s ground game is nothing to brag about. Furthermore, Mendes came off the couch for that fight and absolutely dominated Conor in grappling until he used all of his energy.
