Never followed his career closely (as with pretty much anyone except Fedor pre-2010), but always had that feeling he looks like a genuinely nice guy.

That win over Cro Cop was epic as well.

Thats not true like at all. People who truly feel at that low point are under the effects of many powerful emotions. Most cases the people who are open about it want help though their are some attention whores. Many people reach out for help and end up killing themselves

You don't really understand the nature of depression. With some it's a chemical imbalance. In other case it's PTSD from childhood trauma. Or any number of other factors that may not affect you personally. Bottom line is that it's more complex than you think.
