Kentucky Derby...and Beyond?

Shit, I should have boxed both of those trifectas. Northlands came back #6 (by half length), #7, #4, and Assiniboia came back #4, #8, #9, #2.

==========

Race 5 at Northlands (7:26);

1- 296.0
2- 289.9
3- 318.3 *
4- 386.3 ***
5- 342.3 **
6- 281.7
8- 296.3
9- 317.6 *

#4 over #3, #5, #9 in trifectas for me in this one.

==========

Will I ever learn @t6p?

#9, #5, #4, #3 was the finishing order in that race.

This is brutal. I lost a trifecta by a half length earlier. Now I just lost a super by one position (had the top 3) and then a nice 35/1 exacta by a half length in the last couple of strides.

==========

Race 7 at Assiniboia Downs (8:23);

1- 364.3
2- 392.8 *
3- 427.4 *
4- 351.7
5- 334.4
6- 347.3
7- 285.4
8- 385.8 *
9- 379.1 *
10- 351.5
11- 338.2

I'll try a #2, #3, #8, #9 trifecta box in this one.

Race 5 at Hastings (9:00);

2- 443.4
3- 442.4
4- 443.6
5- 462.8
6- 485.1 *
8- 485.8 *

#1, #6, #8 exacta box for me here, and then some trifectas with #6, #8 over #1, #5, #6, #8 over #1, #5, #6, #8

Well, that's enough of that. I hit a very nice trifecta last weekend at Hastings and I've basically pissed it all away over the last couple of days with some terrible decision making. As boring as it is, I think I'm going to have to go back to spot playing in form outside speed types in one turn sprints.

Dammit i was at this track tonight and missed this

Dammit i was at this track tonight and missed this

Thankfully you did, Eat. I didn't hit on much this evening besides the one exacta. That one paid well, but all that did was pay me back half of what I risked tonight. Wasn't good overall.

$5 win bets for me tomorrow. For science as @t6p would say.

I've been meaning to test this out for a while now, and I figured now would be a good time since I really don't want to go back to the tedious task of trying to spot the right outside horses. At least not yet anyways. So test time it is.

I'm just going to be making one win bet for each race in those cases where two horses are listed. The ones with the *** next to them if my preference at their morning line odds. But I want to track all the horses who fit the angle I'm playing, so I listed two in some cases. Plus there's going to be some scratches as well.

Wow! Youre going hard in the paint today

Wow! Youre going hard in the paint today

All small win bets, though, since I'm only focusing on horses that fit a certain angle. Very little capping otherwise, so I wouldn't tail those plays, Eat, unless your own capping lands on them as well.

I know of a support group for gambling addiction. I'd be happy to send you the information.

Probably not the greatest time to offer this up when the best race of the year is happening next weekend. I can appreciate a caring soul like yourself, though.

So, uh, do you have any early leans in the Travers by chance?

My first two new pace top horses both ran very well in race 1 at Delaware with a 3rd and 1st respectively beating out the heavy 1/2 favourite.

It's never too soon for recovery.

Good stuff Shark. I wish I could play along but I just have too much going on. Best of luck.

Cheers T. I wouldn't want you playing along today anyways to be honest. I'm basically just betting this angle blind today for the most part besides using a couple of guidelines. I'd like to test out at least 100 races before I start zeroing in on certain things. For science.

A 3rd for my horse in race 2 at Thistledown. He went off as a 12/1 longshot, so he's another one who outran his odds.

I tailed a few picks....book only offers a few of the races

Which ones, Eat? I'm worried for you tailing these blind plays of mine, so let me take a closer look at the ones you are playing.
