Just make it an open weight tournament ffs..

    With talks of middleweight Rory Mcdonald being included in the upcoming bellator tournament, and with half the other competitors being LHW why even call it a heavyweight tournament anymore? seems daft.. especially since the favourites to win aren't even heavyweight

    They already said Rory won't be in it.

    Openweight isn't a thing in professional MMA in the USA as far as I know.

    I would have liked to see Mousasi in this tournament. He's fought heavyweights in openweight bouts before, and he isn't that much smaller than a few fighters in this tournament, he's a LHW himself. He would probably be one of the favorites considering he would be the only fighter other than Bader who isn't far past their prime and was still fighting at the highest level recently.
