Has Dos Antos's flame being extinguished? In the not too distant past, Junior Dos Antos was considered to be on fire and his flame was burning bright.

However, the flame is now fizzling out. Do you think we will ever associate Dos Antos with fire again?

Discuss.

Dos Antos. It seems that even parts of his name are extinguished now.

I think so....I hate to say it. When Cain beat him it was one guy, he was still seen as the 2nd best HW. But now that he's been finished by Overeem and Miocic he's not considered as dangerous anymore. Can still beat anyone at HW....but he doesnt have that status anymore he did a few years back

He seems more gunshy nowadays which doesn't bode well for his usually offensive style. He has to lead and throw because is defense is very poor and now his chin is getting cracked. It's HW though, he could still win three in a row in this ancient division and get another shot at the belt.

Senior Dos Santos could still be champ lol

It was clear the 2nd and 3rd Cain fight did him in. He got a win over a plodding Rothwell. He used to have an iron chin, that's finally gone, but more than that he lost his confidence and ferocity.

He's in for an ugly, depressing decline, the only hope is he gets a mini second wind like Cro cop and Arvloski did.

It's basic thermodynamics. Heat can pass from a hotter source to a cooler one, but it can't pass from a cooler one to hotter one. Junior's flame has been burning for a decade now.

People forget who the original flame fighter was...

All those brawls and ass whoopings from Cain finally caught up to the old slugger.

im afraid yes.

After the 2 cain fights he became a shell of his former self since his style was deciphered AND he took a lot of damage from those fights. now he is very hesitant and along with his bad defense it made a very timid fighter who is afraid of taking damage. the only way i see him with some chance for the title is working in his defense A LOT. Overeem did it and he managed to get a title shot.

I miss prime Arlovski. A bit like Belfort and Frank Shamrock, just a lot of untapped potential there because of the stars never quite lining up right.

Senior of the Saints can come back, he is a young stud for the division still.

If he dropped every time someone farted in the general direction of his chin, he could have a longer career like overeem, but junior was too tough for his own good. Two 5 rounders with cain and the first 5 rounder with stipe had to age him prematurely. The most we can hope for now is gatekeeper.

He had 75 minutes of HW War at a crazy pace while receiving most if not all (Cain fights) of the trauma.. he will never be the same.

He can find a second wind and go on a good run get a some nice wins.. maybe with a favorable match up get the belt but he won't get better it's only downside, the one positive is he will get more experience but you also need to use that properly (fight IQ).

The door ain't shut because of his age and division but it's getting closer and closer and we have no idea how his chin is.. is this the beginning of a crack chin ? could be, time will reveal it.

Getting stopped by Stipe and Overeem doesn't mean your chin is shot.

I think he's been figured out. Its not hard at all to back him up to the cage, and when he gets there, he ain't hard to hit. Junior has a big hole in his game that he needs to fix, and its been there for a long time...

He has become Tentative and Gunshy. Tha is bad, but it could be corrected with training confidence and tactics. However his iron chin looks to be gone. Premature and early to say given his age, JDS is still a good fighter. The wrecking machine he once was though, is no more.

Wow you guys are morons Jesus , everyone should retire from the hw the way you morons put it
