Jose Aldo in the UFC: stopped his opponent twice, stopped twice himself

He's also only fought 10 times in a UFC career that started over 6 years ago, in 2011.

For comparison, Donald Cerrone made his UFC debut that same year, but he has 25 UFC fights.
For comparison:

Cain has fought 7 times from 2011 on, been stopped twice, and earned 3 stops. Yet people are calling for him to get a title shot.

Aldo would fight the best of the division every fight, going 5 rounds every time.

turrible comparison.aldos been fighting the best of the best in his division.cerrone fought alot of bums.if aldo was fighting ppl john makdessi.myles jury, adriano martins etc he would have many more finishes.

Weird how Demetrious got a finish in 6 of his last 10 title defences, including Benavidez and Cejudo in under 3 minutes, but still some call him a point fighter.
Anyone calling Demetrius Johnson a point fighter is an idiot. I idiotically called him that after his first two defenses, and then he just starting wrecking those little people and shut me right up.

You can't use Cerrone in comparison to anyone. He's the most active fighter in the entire roster.

What's funny is Josh Thomson isnt even known for his power, hasnt had a knockout since 2008 before diaz

Cerrone's record is somewhat padded, but he's still fought a ton of top fighters in the UFC:

  • Lawler
  • Masvidal
  • Dos Anjos (x2)
  • Bendo
  • Alvarez
  • Barboza
  • Pettis
  • Nate Diaz

Aldo's record also has some padding: Lamas, Jung, Florian and Hominick were all essentially gimmes.

If the Hominick fight had gone one more round, Aldo would have lost... Hominick came back from a brutal beating in the first three rounds to absolutely dominate Aldo in rounds 4 and 5, all the while having a huge hemotoma on his head.

Cain has fought 7 times from 2011 on, been stopped twice, and earned 3 stops. Yet people are calling for him to get a title shot.
So your mad he didn't dominate the division even more definitely or what? He fights at 145, not heavyweight. You're arguement is shit because almost all his fights were exciting and ALL of them were title fights against number one contenders. Who tf are you and what have you achieved in life to talk shit about a dominant champion. You're a fucking fool.
