EDIT as of 7/18/16:

Jon Jones was confirmed to have tested positive for two estrogen blockers, which are considered banned substances under USADA testing.

http://mmajunkie.com/2016/07/nsac-u...trogen-blockers-receives-temporary-suspension
Jones came back positive for hydroxy-clomiphene, “an anti-estrogenic agent” and “letrozole metabolite,” an “aromatase inhibitor,” NSAC attorney Caroline Bateman said today during a hearing in Las Vegas. The substances, which are both banned year-round by the World Anti-Doping Agency, are consistent with the type named by Jones’ ex-training partner and opponent, Rashad Evans, who first claimed the interim champ tested positive for estrogen blockers.

Estrogen blockers can potentially act in tandem with performance-enhancers by helping to mitigate their side effects, and are also thought to restart natural testosterone production.

Jones got caught with 2 banned substances.

Jon Jones fails out of competition USADA test, pulled from UFC 200.

http://www.ufc.com/news/ufc-statement-on-jon-jones-july-6-2016

The UFC organization was notified tonight that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Jon Jones of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection on June 16, 2016.

USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case. It is important to note that, under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full fair legal review process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed.

However, because Jones was scheduled to compete against Daniel Cormier this coming Saturday, July 9 in Las Vegas, there is insufficient time for a full review before the scheduled bout and therefore the fight has been removed from the fight card. As a result, the three-round heavyweight bout between Brock Lesnar and Mark Hunt will become the UFC 200 main event.

Consistent with all previous potential anti-doping violations, additional information or UFC statements will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.

Blood drawn here, confirmation blood was drawn for testing:

Jon Jones hid from test rumor mentioned on SiriusXM Fight Club:

A more recent test on 12/18 showed even a more extreme ratio compared to what Iole reported from the 12/4 test:

Looks like Greg screwed up

Considering that is outside the range of even the bottom 5 percentile, should we give Jon another pass or is it time for him to be stripped or at least suspended?

Thoughts, discuss, flame, ect.

Name specifically the grounds by which you would suspend him before getting your pants sued off.

So goddamn excited for this month. More so than even the fight, go figure.

I guess I knew Jones would win against Cormier, whereas here he might actually not.

I'm not a legal expert so I can't answer that for you. Just posting what information I've gathered from the mega-thread and am inviting discussion.

That is thin to strip a belt from the best fighter in the UFC. I would like to see it addressed by the AC or the UFC, you know, an explanation or further investigation.

So you don't have a single reason to suspend or strip him, and your own answer to your question is:

"No, he shouldn't be stripped."

Didn't Siver get busted for masking agents and suspended? I believe there is precedent. May have been a bit different though. You may be right.

Unless you can turn "potentially" into "definitely", there's not much you can do there.

There is no chance in hell any organization would strip their best fighter of a belt without action from a commission.

Masking Agents .. how do they work? :)

Well Jones DIDN'T test positive for a masking agent, so how does that work here then?

The only outcome I look forward to is him stripped of the belt, and in a rage, whistle-blowing on a large Ped using ring. I want the Watergate of MMA. lol Baring that, I want to see his post fight test so further information can be had for reasonably intelligent discussion and speculation.

So you're saying Siver tested positive for a banned substance.

Grounds.

Guantanamo Bay is the only option for Jones.
