Jon Jones Destroys a "Prime" Fedor

You're eye can swell from a good poke to the skin, it doesn't mean much.

Bigfoot had full mount for about the entire 2nd round and when the round ended Fedor stood up and walked back to his corner like nothing happened. A man Bigfoot's size should be able to KO someone within 2-3 punches when in full mount, the guy landed 100, many pretty cleanly and he couldn't phase Fedor.

He pushed Fedor's shit in bad that second round. being a punching bag shouldn't be something to brag about. Fedor should have been able to KO Bigfoot. Cormier, who's smaller than Fedor was able to do it in Bigfoots next fight. Fedor just isn't same fighter when the match takes place in a cage. He struggled with Bret Rogers FFS.

Look at Fedor after that round, it's not the reaction of a guy hurt one bit. BigFoot did superficial damage, but in 5 minutes he couldn't do what 1 Dan Henderson punch could. The damage was pretty much from the gloves and his size, no power, just like when Fedor fought HMC and looked like crap afterwards, but acted as if he just had a nice walk in the park.

He should of KO'd him, but Silva's team knew exactly how to counter his wild style, go for the takedown. They saw what he was going for in the 1st and explicitly told him wait for for the big swing and shoot low, which he did to perfection. Afterwards he was able to utilize his size to stay on top, and since Fedor didn't think he was actually being damaged, you can see he did little to try to get him off, probably assuming he'd just knock him out in the 3rd, which he never got to.

Comparing Cormier with Fedor is ridiculous for the reason I mentioned above, Wrestling. Fedor always had trouble with great wrestlers, but he was able to work around it with his superior submissions and being in an organization that would stand you up if you had mount for 30 seconds and couldn't KO a guy. DC on the other hand isn't going to be taken down by Bigfoot 100 out of 100 times, he also has a completely different style and objective in the ring, where Fedor was looking for the huge KO and DC wasn't out there swinging for the fences like Fedor.

I do agree a cage isn't great for Fedor, especially since he takes fights against the biggest guys possible. By all means he could be fighting at 205 if he really wanted to, but he'll take on guys like Rogers who cut to 265. It showed in the Werdum fight, as he tried to spin out of the triangle but turned right into the fence. In a cage that weight means the guys can lay on you against the fence, something that doesn't happen in a ring. That being said, who came out victorious in that fight? It's more than Andre Arlovski can say
