Apparently the STF could work but the Figure 4 leglock doesn't. Who would've thought? The jury is out if Mankind's Mandible Claw/Mr. Socko is a legit move, but fish-hooking has never been allowed in MMA.



Rogan also didn't know that tapping out from submission is a way to win a Rasslin' match.
 
iv used the stf in the gym and submtited purple belts but i use it to calf crush

A lot of pro wrestling moves are based on real submissions, they’re just extremely impractical.

Believe me, I was involved in shootfighting 20 years ago and some of the subs we were taught were about as useful as dog crap.
