nice pseudopsychology bro
He said once in a life time athlete, not once in a life time WMMA fighter. That includes all athletes. I'm willing to bet that Lebron James or any female gold medalist Olympian or even Venus and Serena Williams are thousands times the athlete Ronda is.
theres levels to this athlete shit. obviously a female athlete isnt going to be better than a male.
football players have the physical attributes, but most fighters seem to say that the mental-size is the most important aspect in fighting. if you aren't okay with getting hit in the face repeatedly for a living, you'll never make it as a fighter.
football players get hit in the face repeatedly. they arguably have more head trauma than mma fighters
He was talking about the damage inflicted and guys smashing into each other. It had nothing to do with the applicability of skills between American football and fighting.
There is way too much "Joe Rogan/Conor McGregor said/did" on this forum.
you know, that's a good point. kind of stupid that i didn't think about that. but i guess i'd rebut that by saying that there's a difference between getting hit while wearing a helmet, and getting socked in the face. i'm no fighter, but i'd think that's a big difference.
if u think a pro football player with no mma backround can come in and win a belt you and rogan are smoking some real good ish!! if u read my post i said that i consider wrestling to be a mixed martial art.
now if u said a pro football player WITH a wrestling backround can win the belt, i would agree with that. there is that possibility. but again, there is NO pro football player on earth that can win rhe ufc belt with absolutely NO mma backround.
You're just another NFL fan boy. PS- being good at football doesn't necessarily make you a good fighter it's all based on the individual
If you're going to troll, at least be funny. This thread is as embarrassing as I'm sure TS's entire life is.
would not bang
Here's a question:
Are Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments, a Combat Sport?
Not the dumbest thing Joe has said. There is a combat aspect to it. Hitting someone in the form of a tackle is violent. But a combat sport? Not really. It's a contact sport for sure. I'd even heard it being a "collision" sport. But combat? I don't know about that.
Would of loved to see Stephen Neal try MMA towards the end of his NFL Career
NCAA champion with a win over Lesnar, then won 3 super bowls with New England
Your logic amounts to: wrestling is a combat sport. Wrestlers can compete in mma. Football is also a combat sport therefore footballers can compete in mma. This is not logically sound. This doesn't even take into account that the basis for this assumption is Joe rogan.
JRE and Fear Factor have done him well over the decades. Its like a youtuber selling out shows off their youtube fanbase.
You idiots really should listen to the whole podcast before chiming in. Try doing a little bit of research for once in your lives.
