Rising star James Gallagher won’t be fighting in Ireland next month after all.

According to Bellator officials, Gallagher recently suffered a knee injury in training, forcing him out of the Bellator 187 main event against Jeremiah Labiano.

As a result, the undefeated A.J. McKee (9-0), who happens to be a rival of Gallagher, will now fight Brian Moore (10-5), a teammate of Gallagher’s at SBG Ireland, in the main event of the Nov. 10 card at the 3Arena in Dublin.

Decky Dalton, McKee’s previously scheduled opponent on the card, will now fight Andre Goncalves, Moore’s original opponent. Labiano will be moved to Bellator 188 on Nov. 16 to fight Noad Lahat in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

Gallagher is expected to be out of action for 6-to-8 weeks, per sources.

Card went from bad to pathetic. I mean I like aj and I feel like he has a bright future, but this card has nothing. Gallagher was supposed to be the hometown boy. The card has nothing.

    Still watch though

Labiano is actually a good fighter. Dude has gone championship rounds multiple times in his life. It's not like he was a live can off the street. Not saying Gallagher isn't "injured" but he might've dodged a bullet here. He isn't what Bellator is making him out to be. At least not yet.

Not a great card but I'll watch. Mckee is a really good prospect, hope this is the last easy fight they give him. If not Gallagher next he should fight someone like Georgi or Lawrence. Someone not in immediate contention but with name value and a large step up in talent.

I think he will be, agree with your not yet post though. Guys 20 years old and a finisher. Once he gets better with his strikes he'll be a real force and he's athletic as hell. He took Machida to school.

Andy Young (C) (11-8) v Daniel Barez (8-4) for the BAMMA Flyweight title
Tim Barnett (C) (5-0) v Richie Smullen (3-0-1) for the Lonsdale Lightweight title
    David Khalsa (2-0) v Dylan Tuke (3-1)
    Blaine O'Driscoll (5-1) v Dominque Wooding (3-1)
