The Republicans were angry, some things they had a right or at least the sympathy to be angry about, but Donald Trump may well have been the wrong choice for the right's political future.
I'm sadly wagering that was true, long term, and two Justice's gets the right maybe a decade on the Court. That has hypnotized a lot of thinkers on the right to see that Trump was "worth it."
Sure, in a heads up choice between Clinton and Donald, it may have been worth it.
Yet, for nominating Trump, the excuses are as muddy and dirty as the waters of my imaginary Goldfish's (Blinky's) bowl.
Shoot, the right could have won against Hillary by nominating almost anyone, yet the "elites" chose not to listen to the base's cries for more movement on immigration.
The Don sailed into the GOP nomination, and crossed the river of Republican rage into history.
But while a Caesarean figure if there ever was one, I don't think he will last long enough or see far enough to "veni, vidi, vici" anything except his own brand.
