Travis Browne at UFC 200 in 2016. Feels like yesterday.

Before that it was thirteen months since he last fought (loss to Werdum in 2015 high above sea level), and before that, he last competed in late-2013.

So Velasquez has fought twice in the last 4.5 years. Amazing.

One of the most unfortunate waste of a fighters prime. Due to injuries and rematches.

At least he’s still training, keeping ready...

He called out Brock in WWE... but that "fake" stuff is worse on the knee. He should just call it a career and continue to coach.

Seems like a waste. Even from the last time he fought, he could've improved the talent pool at heavyweight and could've regained the belt (probably for the best that he didn't regain it)

I’d like to see him face off against Bigfoot Silva when he returns

Call me crazy, but I think he comes back and wins his next fight. I can't count out Brown Pride.

What does Cain do for a living?
Would he serve as a coach at his gym, seminars?
How does a former top level guy make ends meet?

He could fight cigano or BF in 2020 to finish his career and have a third of his career against two fighters. Or would it be half ?

Not sure about how much he made or how much he saved but living a good life without working in 2 years is probably a little difficult

Maybe he has Del Taco franchises or something, I don't know.. But I've always wondered how he stays above sea level without any steady income, especially when he's posted pics in the past of his nice vehicles.

Never totally understood the story that goes "he was injury prone because of his camp's intense training methods"... Cormier survived all that tho'.

He spends time with his family and coaches. Who cares what he does with his “prime”. He owes you gremlins nothing.
