I don't see how there's an argument.

McGregor is the MMA GOAT because he sells more than anyone else. That doesn't mean he's the best fighter ever. Floyd Mayweather is considered the GOAT of boxing of this generation because he sells more than anyone else, but he's not even close to being the best boxer. Dude is a 150lbs manlet, journeyman heavyweights who could beat the living shit out of him are a dime a dozen.

I see were you are trying to go with this, but Conor is not near Mayweather level in his sporting achievements. He has never defended a belt, while Floyd has well in excess of 20 title defences.

Floyd arguably lost one fight (against Castillo), but record books show a guy that stayed undefeated for twenty years.

It is funny how "hardcore fans" try to convince everyone that public perception has nothing to do with a fighter being a GOAT.

He's 5'10", has a 70" reach, and weighs about 180lbs. He would get mauled by virtually all of the Top 15 Welterweights, not named Gunnar Nelson.

Khabib was 195lbs 3 weeks before UFC 209... ypu should have remembered that, it was controversial.

Achievements mean nothing. Serena Williams has a ton of "achievements" in tennis and is considered one of the GOATs in tennis, she's won more grand slam titles than any men ever has, but the 200th ranked male tennis player who has won nothing in his life is still better at tennis than she is.

He could've weighed 308lbs three weeks before UFC 209. It has zero bearing on anything that happens in the cage. Literally. Nothing. No. It does not matter. Well, unless one is saying "He had to push himself harder than needed if he had just began his camp at his cage weight (about 180lbs), and hence it could potentially hurt his gas tank (thus helping his opponent (Conor.))

Yea, I do pay closer attention to cage weight than 99% of the posters here. I do sorta understand what is going on and I forgot nothing about Khabib's size. Let's say it again folks, "CAGE WEIGHT MATTERS. WALK AROUND WEIGHT DOES NOT."
