Hard leg kicks check
Athletic chech.
Wrestling check
Sub defense check.
Fight IQ check.

I think this will look like the Benson Henderson fight.

It's definitely a silly match-up on paper, unless Nate pulls some sorta 10 day cabo shit that we ain't prepared for.

personally i think cormier would be the worst match up for nate.

GSP would be even worse because of cardio (at least in his prime), but Woodley is up there. Terrible fight.

Funny thing is people actually believe Nate is gonna fight Tyron...

Maybe at WW and below.

Someone like DC would molest Diaz.

Diaz will try to beat Woodley using racism. Woodley's only known weakness.

The opposite. It's the easiest fight for Nate out of the WW contenders.

Woodley has a height and reach disadvantage.

Woodley is gunshy for most of his fights, Nate will most certainly be the more active fighter

Nate has a great chin and can probably take Woodley's power.

Woodley is easy to back up against the cage. Nate is good at pressuring.

Woodley rarely uses his wrestling, even in situations where he should. He stood with Wonderboy for the majority of both fights, despite having a massive advantage on the ground.

Hmm never thought of that till now

Yes it's a terrible match-up... and totally un-interesting... hence why it shouldn't happen

If Woodley can lose to Jake Shields on the feet, he can lose to anyone.

Woodley has a very low fight iq. He'll get backed up to the fence and he'll get stuck there just like every other fight.

Tyron is an easy fight for Nate? Sorry I disagree

People seem to have very selective memory when it comes to this subject.

Nate Diaz is not even an elite 155 fighter... why do you think it would be so "easy" for him to beat the best 170lbs fighter in the world at the moment?

Are you forgetting the RDA fight? ... In which it should be noted Diaz had a 7inch reach advantage. Would you suggest the Woodley fight would play out any differently?

Nate is good at pressuring, sure... but let's not get carried away in assuming he is Nick. He's not Nick. Stop confusing the two.

He still won against Wonderboy regardless of his tactics

Probably, but one Nate has already beaten Woodley so who knows...

Nate isn't even that great of a pressure fighter. He only puts the pressure on when he has you hurt or completely gassed out.

He likes to fight on the outside with his 1-2's.

Devastating KO power meets easy to hit granite chin

This would have all the makings of a brain damage match up

It seems like a winnable fight for Diaz. (Not saying he will) if Woodley has another low output fight, Diaz could out land him. Maybe similar to Bisping Silva. One guy lands the harder shots the other lands what seems like significantly more. Shit fight, but I don’t want to see Woodley Thompson 3

What are you talking about. Nate didn’t do anything special in beating Conor. HE out lasted him and capatilized.

If Diaz can stay in there long enough for Woodley to gas he has a small chance. The only thing wrong with that is Woodley doesn’t usually engage enough to gas out.
