Guy has 4 fights in the UFC, and his best win is Manuwa.

We're approaching Thales Leites v. Anderson Silva level wtf here

Prolli.

It's funny because it's pretty much the best fight they can currently make at 205..

I'm sure there has been a worse one in wmma

15-1.
3-0 in the UFC.
Last 2 wins via brutal power KO against top 10 oponents.
Washed up division.

Should be Gus in this fight but this one is good for DC getting back on track

To be fair, he's the most deserving fighter of the title shot right now.

Who else is coming off of multiple wins? Shogun?

Honestly, I don't think DC wants to fight Gus again.

And that's my point, Gus gave dc his toughest fight outside Jones.

Gus is the future champ at 205 unless Jones comes back

I already bet my life savings on Volkan. Hopefully he can pull the win.

HIm beating Manuwa the way he did was impressive. Hes not just some contender. He shows real promise.

Fuck Gus. Just another entitled shit like Rockhold and the others that get one or two wins and then sits out until they get a title fight.

Apparently a win over Heath Herring got Lesnar a HW title fight against Couture and he had 3 fights

are you people serious? It is mind blowing to me people are sleeping on him and think its unfathomable he beats old man DC.

wow.

Man... back in the the day this wouldn't even compare.

I remember back when people got title shots in their UFC debut, sometimes coming off a loss or losses.

nah when you look at it this way he is known to heavy knockout power . dc is not to far removed from getting stopped by a juiced up jones . so if volkan is able to hit him with some good shots . a big if then he has a slight chance of winning .

Taking out 3 top 10 guys since his debut hardly makes him the least likely contender, especially considering some of the guys who have been given shots before.

Hardy and Cariaso come to mind.

To he honest.... Yes I'd love to watch Shogun get one last title shot. Even if just for nostalgia's sake...
