Nate won the ultimate fighter and holds a win over the real LW champ Conor McGregor. Is Nate an all time great?

Yes and no.

Skill wise, no.

Tough and entertainment wise, yes.

No.

His record is not good enough, was never a champion and lost in the rematch against McGregor, his greatest win.

He holds the most fight bonuses in UFC history so he’s at least one of the greats of entertaining fighters. Skilled in both stand up and very busy BJJ.

CHoked out the so called " GOAT " but gets no credit for it some reason... Shertards pretend it didn't happen. Truth is Nate Diaz is dangerous enough to finish anybody now days.

Depends on how many can fit into your 'all time greats' list.

I am a Nate Diaz fan but no way.... top 5 WW and LW most likely beat him.

Definitely an all-time great. Dude's had a lot of wars, brought a lot of energy and emotion into fights that people normally would've never originally tuned in for, made MMA even more exciting. Just wished he looked up to someone other than Nick as far as self-promotion goes. He could've had a lot more iconic fights instead of just the same ol' newbs referring to his Conor RNC pic.

He doesn't care he just wants to be paid and smoke weed

At what, fighting? No. Not by a long shot.

Do you even watch the fights?

An over achiever in many ways. Not athletic, not strong, and not fast.

Got by with great cardio, great chin, toughness and decent jujitsu. He lost 11 fights before during his prime so not an all time great.

Entertaining and perennial top 15 .

Not sure why this got sent to the wasteland. Nate is a legend of the sport, he's a great but maybe not an all time great. He has some really impressive wins over Prime Cerrone, Prime MJ, Prime Conor. A lot guys have big names on their record but how many were in their primes.

The best win he had, he lost the rematch after staggering his opponent - instead of following up and finishing a second time, he just kept up his slow, plodding pace. He's never held a UFC title, his record is kinda bad - if he were in GOAT talks, his record might be the worst one in the discussion, next to Mark Hunt - but to Hunt's credit, his losses were to a murderer's row and he didn't even train for those fights.

Not even close. We can't have an "all time great" for every single category you can come up with. When we are talking about all time greats we are referring to skill and Diaz has never reached the elite of the elite. Doesn't mean he can't become better than he has been but for that to happen he needs to fight.
