Is McGregor genetically unable to increase his stamina?

What do you think? It's one infamous thing about Conor. He was dominating Diaz until he started gassing. He was doing well against Floyd, until he started gassing. Do you think, however he trains, this stamina problem of him will never be solved?

What do I think?I think people (on here is for sure the highest ratio) are retarded. If you go 90% for a round or two while another fighter is going 70% and they end up looking better the guy who burned his gas simply has cardio problems? You're an idiot. Is this not super simple? Are people really this stupid?Go in the gym,hit the pavement, get a shit punching bag,do anything at 100% for 5 minutes and get back to me fatty

I really don't want to be rude but please use your brain.

Of course he can improve his stamina, unfortunately it may come at a price in other areas, he may have to loose a bit muscle mass and because of that power, the bigger he's getting the worse his cardio is because of that.

Yes.

Conor has much more of the Fast-twitch muscle fibers that generate far more power and strength, but they fatigue much faster and require more time for recovery than Slow-twitch muscle fibers.

And this depends on how he has trained — and his genetics

Old women in their 80s and fat people can run marathons. Word on the street is that conor is too pussy to run. He's lazy and he can't handle adversity. Trains at a gym where everyone treats him like the chosen one, so every time he faces adversity in a fight he breaks.

He just doesn't work as hard as other fighters, thats it.

No, never. He can't improve his chin either, another fragile spot. Nobody gets finished by a manlet who weighs 20lbs less than you who never finishes fights unless you got a glass jaw.

He didn't get finished. He was gassed. His cardio was the reason, not because of any shots he was taking.

Shit cardio is the biggest chin killer. When you gas it massively effects your chin.

Some people just have naturally bad cardio, they just have to learn how to fight more conservatively to avoid gassing out like Woodley and Nunes.

Would you rather Conor get ktfo slept without a ref? Or saved from further brain damage? It was a stoppage.

The point was, it's not a problem about his chin. He was eating those punches and still standing, altho wobbled.

The problem was his stamina, not his chin.

If the ref stops the fight, it's a finish. Period.

We have this 62 year old lady at work that runs marathons. She isn't some genetic freak, but just dedicated.

Conor needs to run, run and run to improve his cardio. No freaking rowing or walking underwater or some other stuff which does not translate well to boxing/mma. He is too busy being experimental instead of being practical.

So many armchair strength and conditioning experts on Sherdog. He had an ACL repair, which is one of the most invasive joint surgeries you can have. Running is fucking terrible for the knees and hips. Obviously he doesn't want to go the Shogun/Cruz route and shorten his career with road work.

This whole running = MMA cardio nonsense was started by old school boxers and MT fighters. Sure, its a good way to lift V02 levels, but you know what else constant long distance running does? It reduces explosive power; is, you can't jump as high or kick as hard. Its been proven that long distsnce running lowers your verticsl leap. You also deplete energy levels that could otherwise be used to train in more sport specific conditioning.

Plenty of fighters have bad knees and don't run. I trained with guys who never ran due to knee problems (other than warm ups) and can go 5 rounds easily. There's elite guys in the UFC who probably don't run much. Its not like that's the be all and end all of cardio. The only cardio that running every day will increase is your running cardio. There's a shitload of reasons not to excessively run as a pro athlete whose sport doesn't require running at all.

Connor's problem has more to do with his yes men in camp and his style. You can't be throwing KO blows every strike and expect to keep that pace for 25 minutes. There's a reason he puts guys away in the first two rounds 90% of the time but finds himself gassed in championship rounds.

What are you on about? He never got KO'ed or dropped by Mayweather. The fight was stopped because of how many shots he was taking. That has nothing to do with having a good chin or not? Conor has a solid chin

That speed and explosiveness comes at a price. It's very rare to see someone with that much power that also has great stamina.

You probably have to consider the nick of the dude you're responding to, and his join date. Those two combined should lead you to the conclusion that we're dealing with a troll.

He is too tense, that's why he loses cardio. His stance and presence is too intense for his own good.

Someone pass this info to Conor, might save his career.

you can't fix your cardio at age of 30, you have to work as kid, teenager, to have great cardio as adult
